Birthday Greeting FAMU News
  IN THE SPOTLIGHT
  MECO
This week’s Spotlight feature is Meco. She wants everyone to know that she is a force to be reckoned with, and she won’t stop until she reaches her goal of total success. Meco learned early that success means, it’s time to really pull your sleeves back, and grind it out. We are going to wait and see what lies ahead for Meco, and congratulations for being this week’s Spotlight feature.

ALVIN HOLLIS Sports Information Assistant Director at FAMU
TALLAHASSEE -- Some of the greatest athletes to walk the highest of seven hills will return to the campus of Florida A&M University September 12.
The Florida A&M Univer- sity Athletic Department, in partnership with the FAMU All Sports Reunion 2019 Planning Committee, is hosting “Don't Ask Me Where All That Came From,” its inaugural fun-filled weekend of planned activities honoring all Student- Athlete Alumni involved in In- tercollegiate Collegiate Sports at the university.
“FAMU is excited about the opportunity to welcome back former athletes, coaches and supporters to their old stomp- ing grounds,” said Alvin Hollins, Sports Information Assistant Director at FAMU.
“The reunion is especially exciting because it’s also the same weekend as the 43rd An- nual Enshrinement Ceremony for the Sports Hall of Fame, where eight people will be in- ducted.”
The reunion will have many activities that will allow the ath- letes a chance to reunite with former teammates, coaches, sports program directors and the administrative sports staffs of their era.
The events include an All Sports Reunion Mixer held at the President’s home on Friday, September 13, an All Sports Re- union Brunch at the Capital City Country Club on Saturday morning, September 14, an All Sports Reunion Football Tail- gate on Saturday afternoon, September 14 and Recognition by Sport at the Jake Gaither Classic Football Game on Sat- urday night, September 14.
The registration fees for the All Sports Reunion is $150. The fee includes two tickets to the All Sports Reunion Mixer, two tickets to the Reunion Brunch, two tickets to the Jake Gaither Football Game, admission to the Football Tailgate and the official All Sports Reunion 2019 T-shirt.
