County Commissioners Honor Teacher Of The Year, ‘Dr. Dre’
Last week (August 7th), the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners presented a commendation to Dr. Dakeyan C. Graham, an educator and musician from King High School. He was recently named the 2020 Florida Teacher of the Year. His students affectionately call him “Dr. Dre.”

Howard University Student Returns To Classes
A “proud grandmother,”
Mrs. Juanita McCloud, says her granddaughter, Mia Blocker, returned to her col- lege campus on Sunday, Au- gust 11th.
A Tampa Catholic High School graduate, Mia is ma- triculating at Howard Univer- sity in Washington, D. C.
As Mia continues the legacy of the family, Mrs. McCloud said she has al- ready earned her way to the Dean’s List. Recently, she at- tained honors in the National Honor Society at Howard University. While home for the summer, she took addi- tional classes at the Univer- sity of South Florida.

When asked by Howard University, which country
(there were 3 recommenda- tions) she would like to study, her choice was Greece. “My granddaughter chose the same country I would have chosen,” Mrs. McCloud said. “I’m proud of her choice and the opportunity to travel abroad for part of the intern- ship. God is continuing to bless my bi-lingual grand- daughter.”
While in Greece, Mia will work with different doctors as an intern to further her edu- cation. Her goal is to become an anesthesiologist.
A member of the 29th Street Church of Christ, Mia is the daughter of Joy and Marcus Blocker.
