University of South Florida head football coach, Willie Taggert said his team is East Division champions because they beat everyone in their di- vision, including Temple. But It will be the Owls who will be heading to the AAC title game.
The Bulls were denied an op- portunity to play for what could have been the school’s first conference title in the program’s 19-year history.
On Saturday night, Temple beat Connecticut 27-3 and with their 10-2 (7-1 in the con- ference) record, they won the division tile and will be facing Houston next Saturday.
The Bulls (8-4, 6-2 in the conference) had assured the program’s first bowl bid since 2010 and are expected to play in the Miami Beach Bowl on December 21st, or the St. Pe- tersburg Bowl on December
