Odds Favor Rob Gronkowski Signing With WWE As Next Career Move
Mike Tomlin Hints That Steelers Were Right To Trade Antonio Brown
MIKE TOMLIN AND ANTONIO BROWN
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers signed a deal with vet- eran quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
Gabbert, who turns 30 in October, was recently re- leased by the Titans after they acquired Ryan Tan- nehill in a trade with the Dolphins. Gabbert went 2-1 in three starts with Ten- nessee in 2018.
Over his eight seasons in the league, Gabbert has put together a completion per- centage of 56.2, with 9,063 yards, 48 touchdowns and 47 interceptions in 56 games (48 starts).
With this signing, the Bucs will have Gabbert and
BLAINE GABBERT Ryan Griffin competing to
be Jameis Winston’s backup in 2019. It’s not sur- prising that Tampa Bay de- cided to bring in one of Arians’ former quarter- backs.
ROB GRONKOWSKI
Rob Gronkowski should have no shortage of options for how to spend his time now that he has retired from foot- ball, but the one fans seem to talk about the most is a career in professional wrestling. Oddsmakers believe a stint in the WWE is a real possibility for the former New England Patriots star.
On Monday, online gam- bling site BetOnline.ag re- leased some odds for what Gronkowski may do first with his life after football. Wrestling in the WWE topped the list, with becoming an NFL commentator a close second.
Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has been rather quiet this offseason as drama has unfolded around his team, but it seems quite clear that the decision to part ways with Antonio Brown is one he approves of.
Tomlin spoke for the first time since January on Mon- day, essentially saying that for the Steelers to succeed, they will need to have play- erswhowanttobeapartof
the organization — and that those who don’t feel that way should be allowed to leave.
Much was made of Brown’s disagreements with Ben Roethlisberger, but in the season-ending in- jury controversy that started all this, Tomlin and Brown were clearly not seeing eye- to-eye either. It’s pretty clear that the coach isn’t exactly upset to see his star wide re- ceiver go.

Ex-Playmate Says A-Rod
Sexted Her Weeks Before
Tony Romo Seeking At Least $10 Million A Year In Raise From CBS
Proposing To Jennifer Lopez
Alex Rodriguez has been dogged by some rumors of alleged — or attempted — cheating during his engage- ment to Jennifer Lopez, and the latest comes from a former Playboy Playmate who says A-Rod was send- ing her inappropriate texts not long before he popped the question.
British model Zoe Gre- gory told The Sun on Mon- day that Rodriguez sent her a string of sexually explicit text messages, including one of his genitals. She says the texts kept coming over the span over several weeks from late-December to Jan. 22. A- Rod proposed to J-Lo in March.
Gregory provided screen- shots of WhatsApp messages that she says show A-Rod asking if she has any friends who would want to have a threesome with them and trying to get her to send him sexually explicit videos. She
boys quarterback instantly earned rave reviews in his broadcasting debut. His stock as a broadcaster ex- ploded last season as he pre- sciently predicted play after
play before it happened. Romo is funny, enthusi- astic, charming, smart, and just completely likable as a broadcaster. The best in that
field.

said he came across like a “dirty dog” and she feels bad for Lopez and hopes she will “wake up.”
While it’s always tough to separate truth from fiction when dealing with allega- tions such as the ones Gre- gory made, A-Rod has not exactly earned the benefit of the doubt. He cheated on his ex-wife Cynthia, and Jose Canseco recently accused him of cheating on J-Lo with Canseco’s ex-wife.
TONY ROMO
Tony Romo is seeking a raise as he enters the final year of his broadcasting deal with CBS, and he’s looking for big money according to a report.
Romo wants at least $10 million a year to continue in his role as CBS’ lead analyst on NFL games. Such a salary would make him the highest- paid analyst in the business, earning more than the ap- proximately $7.5 million Troy Aikman receives, and more than what Jon Gru- den pulled in.
Romo reportedly signed a 3-year deal that pays him around $4 million per year when he first joined CBS prior to the 2017 NFL season.
