On Tuesday evening Hillsborough County deputies responded to an apartment complex in refer- ence to a domestic violence complaint. The call ended with a teenager being shot by one of the responding deputies.
According to the Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office, two 9-1-1 calls were received around 7:42 p.m. The callers reported a domestic violence situation in which two people were at-
tacked.
When the deputies ar-
rived at the incident in the 1200 block, of Skipper Road, they were told that a 17-year- old had hit his sister and “knocked out his mother.” The callers told police no weapons were involved, but one of the victims was bleed- ing. The callers also said the suspect had left the area on

lice the teenager was wearing an all red jumpsuit. When deputies arrived at the apart- ment complex, the suspect was gone.
Several minutes later,
Deputy Daniel Estanis- lau located and made con- tact with the suspect.
Police said, “At the time, Deputy Estanislau be- came in fear for his safety and due to his belief that the suspect possessed a weapon, he then ordered the suspect to “Drop the gun, drop the gun.”
The deputy then fired two rounds from his service weapon, striking the suspect once in the upper body. When investigators arrived at the scene, no weapon was found.
The teenager was trans- ported to Tampa General
Hospital, where he is listed in critical, but stable condi- tion. A family member told a local television station that the teenager was shot in the back and that he can’t feel his legs.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released any information pertaining to where the teenager was shot.

said, “I am committed to being transparent in getting accurate information to the public in a timely fashion.”
Investigators have not re- leased any additional infor- mation about the victims involved in the incident.
Deputy Estanislau, 26, was hired in October 2015. He has been placed on ad- ministrative leave pending the outcome of the investiga- tion. The investigation is continuing.
With Minor
A Hillsborough County teacher was arrested earlier this week. He was charged with having sex with minor. He was released after posting bond.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, Eric Milis, 30, is facing one count of having sex with a minor. Police learned about the incident after a former student, who is now 19-years- old, reported that she and Milis had a sexual relation- ship when she was 17. Milis was 28-years-old at the time.
Detectives responded to Leto High School where Milis worked and overheard a conversation in which Milis made statements ad-

mitting to the victim that he had a sexual relationship with her when she was a minor. He was arrested at his home.
Police said there are no other victims believed to be involved in the incident.
Cars Set Afire At Towing Business
Man Arrested For Attempting To Set 16 Cars On Fire
The Tampa Fire Depart- ment responded to a local business in reference to a fire. When they arrived, several cars were fully engulfed.
According to a spokesper- son for the Tampa Fire De- partment, the fire took place at Larsen’s Towing, 4608 N. Lois Avenue, around 2:15 a.m., Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived,
they found four or five cars fully engulfed inside the fence. The fire quickly spread to other cars parked close by.
After the blaze was extin- guished, 9 cars were damaged. A witness told investiga- tors that someone suspicious was observed in the area around the time the fire started. The investigation is
continuing.
MICHAEL GORDON
A Hillsborough County man has been arrested and charged with attempted arson. He is accused of at- tempting to set 16 cars on fire.
The incident took place early Wednesday at the Mili- tary Recruitment Center, on Brandon Blvd., near S. Kings Avenue. Around 7 a.m., deputies were called to the location. The deputies learned that the gas tanks on 16 government vehicles and 1 civilian vehicle had been pried open. The gas tanks had rags and sticks placed in- side the tanks.
The vehicles are on the property of the U. S. Army,
Navy, National Guard, Air Force and Marine Corps.
During the investigation, the suspect, identified as Michael Gordon, returned to the area. During an inter- view with detectives, Gor- don allegedly made statements about wanting to blow up the vehicles because, “the generals won’t surrender to the Kingdom of God.”
Gordon, 27, referred to himself as “Michael the Arc Angel.”
After being taken into custody, police discovered two lighters in his possession and he admitted to having charcoal lighter fluid.
Investigative Services
from the Navy and Air Force, as well as the Federal Protec- tive Services from the De- partment of Homeland Security responded to the scene.
Gordon is facing charges of attempted arson and crim- inal mischief.
