4X Olympian and For- mer WNBA Legend Tamika Catchings
The NCAA Women’s Final 4 comes to Tampa this week, starting on Friday, April 5, 2019. Two of the 4 teams have been decided, University of Oregon and University of Connecticut. The final 2 will be decided this evening (Monday, April 1).
Most of the events will be in the area of Amalie Arena, where the final 4 games will be held on Friday and Sun- day. However, there are other events that will be held throughout the community.

Military
Airman Completes Basic Military Training
AIRMAN LUIS DENTON Airman Luis Denton
has graduated from basic mil- itary training as a member of the U. S. Air Force.
During his eight-week training course, Airman Denton completed an inten- sive program that included military discipline and stud- ies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airman Denton also earned four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Commu- nity College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Olga Denton, of Tampa, and the brother of Natasha Munoz, of Spring, Texas.
Airman Denton gradu- ated from Wiregrass High School, in Wesley Chapel, in 2013.

Catch the Stars Foundation presents the inaugural “GIRLS AT THE 4” Basketball Clinic for girls ages 8 to 14.
The event will be held 9 a. m.to1p.m.,attheTampa Police Athletic League, 1924 W. Diana St., Tampa 33604.
A limited number of walk-up spaces will be available.
The purpose of “GIRLS ATTHE4”istogivebackto communities and increase girls’ engagement during Women’s Final Four weekend in Tampa. Participants will learn basketball funda- mentals, sportsmanship, the importance of being fit and leading healthy lifestyles and will also have a chance to learn what it takes to be a successful student- athlete.

   Two Tampa Natives Excel In U. S. Navy

KINGS BAY, GA — As cit- izens of Tampa go about their daily lives, members of the U. S. Navy’s “Silent Service” sub- marine force work beneath the ocean’s waves, continuing a tradition that only a small fraction of military members will ever know: strategic de- terrence.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Christian Gammage and Fireman Erick Prado- quintana are assigned to Trident Training Facility.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Christian Gammage is a Tampa native. He graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School graduate in 2018.
FIREMAN ERICK PRADOQUINTANA
Petty Officer 3rd Class Gammage is a missile tech- nician stationed at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, homeport to the Ohio-class ballistic-missile and guided- missile submarines.
Fireman Pradoquin- tana is a 2016 graduate of Leto High School who takes on the task to execute one of the Defense Department’s most important mission of strategicdeterrence.
Fireman Pradoquin- tana is a machinist mate, auxillary stationed at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, homeport to the Ohio- class ballistic-missile and guided-missile submarines.
