Former Tampa Native Is Surprised With 40th Birthday Celebration
Family and friends gathered at Suite Occasions in Temple Terrace on January 27, 2017 with a grand surprise for, Atlanta, Georgia resident, Demetric “Meeatball” Kennedy. Demetric was totally surprised and thought he was headed to a Pre-Pro Bowl party. Those in attendance wore Tampa Bay Buccaneer attire (Meeatball’s favorite team) and partied to the epic sounds played by DJ Eric Myers. (Photos by BRUNSON)

Saunders Public Library To Host ‘Local Read’ Event
On Monday, February 20th, the Robert W. Saunders, Sr., Public Library, 1505 N. Nebraska Avenue, will host the an- nual “Local Read,” Program. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., as part of the Library’s Black History Celebration.
