  SISTERS RETIRE TOGETHER
 JUANITA DOBY and GWENDOLYN DOBY-BAKER
Gwendolyn Doby-Baker and Juanita Doby retired on December 31, 2021, after working 41-1/2 years for the Hills- borough County Public Schools. Since the two sisters started working around the same time, they decided to retire at the same time.
Gwendolyn Doby-Baker graduated from Robinson High School, Class of 1974. Gwendolyn started working March 25, 1980, with special needs children at Chamberlain High School. While at Chamberlain, she was the Step Team sponsor. She also worked at sporting events for Chamberlain for over 20 years. In 2020, Gwendolyn was voted Instruc- tional Support Employee of the Year. Since retiring, Gwen- dolyn plans on traveling as much as possible.
Juanita Doby graduated from Tampa Bay Tech, Class of 1976. In addition to being an honor graduate, she was a mem- ber of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and Senior Notable, voted “Most Likely to Succeed.” Juanita graduated from the University of South Florida in May, 1980, with a teaching degree in Business and Office Education. In August 1980, she started her first teaching job as a Business Teacher at Brandon High School, and ended her teaching career as a Marketing Teacher at Riverview High School. Juanita also taught at East Bay High School, Bloom- ingdale High School and Freedom High School. Juanita’s re- tirement plans include traveling, cruising, and spending time with her grandchildren.
The two sisters, along with their brother, Lyndon Dallas, Sr., that retired December 2020, had planned their retirement getaway to Sydney, Australia, but will reschedule due to COVID.

Florida is not known for chilly weather, but nights can be quite chilly, especially if you are homeless.
DeCosta Realty owner/broker Eboney DeCosta hosted her 3rd Annual Clothing Drive, Warming Tampa Bay, in December to serve those that cannot serve themselves.
DeCosta delivered hundreds of blankets, socks, and clothing to the Salvation Army.
DeCosta states, “The only thing I desire is to continue blessing others as I continue my work to bring joy to the people of Tampa. Our third year of giving was such a success.”
Before she started the Warming Tampa Bay clothing drive, DeCosta held a toy drive for 8 years.
“Everybody has something to give. I hope that I can inspire other people to give of their hearts, no matter the weather or time of year.”
