Second Man Charged In Plant
Parks Employee Arrested
City Gas Station Murder
Tampa Police report that between December 12, 2015 and February 29, 2016, Davarius Durham, 27, sent messages to a 15-year-old so- liciting him to send a picture of his genitals in exchange for $70.
The communication was delivered through the KIK messenger app. The victim did not send the requested photo, and police said Durham was the victim’s football coach through the Tampa Bay Youth Football League.
Through the investigation, detectives identified two addi- tional victims. Those crimes occurred in the jurisdiction of
Durham through City of Tampa Parks programs.
Police said Durham coached the victims in foot- ball. Detectives have no infor- mation that any additional victims were City of Tampa Parks participants, but the in- vestigation is ongoing.
Detectives said Durham fled Tampa on April 6th. The U. S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested him at a family member’s home in Miami Gardens. He was transported and booked into the Orient Road Jail on charges of lewd and lascivious, use of a com- puter device to solicit, and un- lawful use of a communications device.

An investigation to a mur- derofamanataPlantCity gas station has led to the ar- rest of a second suspect. He was taken into custody as the result of a collaborative effort between the Plant City Police Department and the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office.
Al’Kwaun Ty’Relle Nakiss Dixon, 18, of Plant City, was taken into custody on Sunday. He was charged with first-degree murder, three counts of armed rob- bery, discharging a firearm in public, being a felon in pos- session of a firearm, and re- sisting arrest without violence. He is being held without bond at the Hillsbor- ough County Jail.
Last week, police arrested 19-year-old Xavier Que- sean Smith, of Plant City, and charged him with man and charged him with mur- der. He was taken into cus- tody in the death of a man killed at a gas station.
According to police, shortly before 8:30 p.m., on Friday, April 8th, police discovered an injured man on the property of a Mobil Gas Station, 2010 N. Wheeler Street. He died at the scene.

vehicle at the station and shot several times. Police have ac- cused Smith and Dixon of committing the crime.
Smith was taken into cus- tody after police responded to a 9-1-1 call of shots being fired. When the officers ar- rived at the scene, they came into contact with Smith, who reportedly matched the gen- eral description of the suspect in the murder case.
Smith was taken into cus- tody after police learned of an active warrant for his arrest for violation of probation. During that arrest, police dis- covered a handgun that had been reported stolen, in his possession.
As a result of information obtained during the investiga- tion, Smith was charged with first-degree murder, 3 counts of attempted armed robbery, carrying a concealed firearm, discharging a firearm in pub- lic, resisting arrest without vi- olence, and violation of probation.
Smith is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that two 16-year-olds were ar- rested Thursday, and charged with breaking into five vehi- cles in a Riverview subdivi- sion and stealing one of them.
Nicholas Spencer and Zachary Heatherley were charged with five counts of burglary of a conveyance, grand theft auto, and grand theft.
Deputies said the incidents occurred between 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. in the South Pointe Subdivision in Riverview. Deputies said the teens un- lawfully entered a 1997 Honda Accord, a 2014 Dodge Power Ram, a 2000 Ford
Windstar, and a 2010 Toyota Camry within the South Pointe subdivision. One in- side the vehicles, deputies said the teenagers unlawfully took several of the victim’s personal items, including an iPad, laptop, iPhone, and a set of keys to a fifth vehicle, a 2016 Toyota Tundra.
On Thursday, several of the victims property items were recovered from a vacant house across the street from the home of Nicholas Spencer. Deputies located Spencer and Heatherley inside the stolen Toyota Tun- dra at 3:07 p. m. Thursday in the parking lot in the area of U. S. 301 and Big Ben Road and they were arrested.
The investigation into the shooting of a 31-year-old man has become a homicide inves- tigation. The victim died last Thursday afternoon.
Around 7 a.m., last Wednesday, a passerby dis- covered Kagan Dane Mc- Farland, of Temple Terrace, in the parking lot of Coca-Cola Enterprises, 5901 E. Fowler Avenue. McFarland was suf- fering from gunshot wounds and was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was admitted.
Police launched an investi- gation into the shooting and learned that McFarland had been a patron at the Lazy Brew Bar & Grill, (formerly Graffiti Junktion), 11401 N. 56th Street. When McFar- land reached the alley behind CiCi’s Pizza, 5771 E. Fowler Avenue, he was attacked and shot several times, around 2 a.m., Wednesday.
After being shot McFar- land collapsed in the parking lot a short distance from where he was attacked.
The Temple Terrace Police Department is asking anyone with information pertaining to the crime to contact them at (813) 989-7110.

Authorities Search For Armed Robbery Suspects
Tampa Police officers saw a vehicle that had been re- ported stolen on April 15th in an armed carjacking. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit, there were two minor traffic crashes involv- ing police vehicles that oc- curred in the area of Columbus Drive and North
One crash involved a police vehicle striking a fence and telephone pole, and the other crash involved a police vehi- cle striking the bumper of a citizen’s vehicle. There were no injuries in either crash.
The stolen vehicle was found a short time later aban- doned at a location in Hills- borough County.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports on March 25th at 2:19 a.m., the victim was arriving home and was robbed by two Black males at 3933 Tower Road. The two suspects were report- edly armed with a total of three handguns. They al- legedly threatened the victim
and stole his wallet. The sus- pects used the victim’s credit cards at several locations.
Two suspect vehicles were also seen during the robbery, and were described as a Toy- ota Corolla with dark tint, and a white Isuzu Rodeo LS.

Police in Pinellas Park said they have arrested four known sex offenders on charges of violating their probations during a surprise check at a motel where sev- eral of them live.
