Here’s 7 ways drinking hot water can improve your health:
1. Anti-aging for skin - De-
hydration is one of the most
common reasons our skin loses
elasticity. But, if you drink warm
water, this helps your skin even
more. Drinking warmer water
can help your skin’s cells repair
quicker, in addition to improving your skin’s elasticity and appearance.
2. Improves Digestion - Mayo Clinic facilitated some research around the impact of drinking cold water after you eat a meal. They found that when a meal was consumed with cold water, the oils found in the food the participants digested hardened. This was relevant because this is one of the causes of intestinal cancer. But, when food was consumed with warmer water, this same reaction did not occur with the oils. The warm water actually aids in helping with the di- gestion and movement of the food through the system.
3. Relieves Congestion - The worse part of a sore throat or nasal congestion is the pain associated with swallowing and the discomfort associated with feeling congested. Swallow something cold can make the process of staying hydrated difficult. However, for the most part when you drink something warm, it is more soothing. Warmer water helps when your throat is sore or when you have coughing associated with a cold. Warmer water moves easier through your system and helps to alleviate some of the built up phlegm, helping you to recover from being sick a little bit quicker.
4. Body Detoxification - Drinking warm water is an alternative way to detox. According to the Amer- ican Liver Foundation, your body temperature will rise and this will cause you to sweat, which is a sign that toxins are being eliminated from your body. All of this happens just with drinking warmer water.
5. Eases Menstrual Cramping - Instead of reaching for cold water, drink warmer water. It helps to loosen your abdominal muscles responsible for the cramping, decreasing your cramps and spasms.
6. Helps with constipation - If you are having some difficulty with being regular and are experienc- ing constipation, hot water can help with your diges- tion. Drinking warmer water helps with dehydration that causes your intestines to accumulate stools that cause constipation. According to studies, which were done by the Digestive Disease Associates of York County, drinking warm water helps to make you reg- ular.
And here is another helpful hint. If you have not eaten yet and you drink warm water first before eat- ing, it helps with getting rid of remnants of food that may be left in your system. This is another way to help you get your digestive process going in the right direc- tion.
7. Stimulates Hair Growth - Dehydration and dry hair is often the culprit of breakage and an inabil- ity to get your hair to grow longer and healthier. By drinking warm water, you are helping your roots by giving them the hydration they need to be healthy. Warm water helps to activate your roots, decrease de- hydration of your hair, which ends up helping your hair grow.
5 Ways To Spring Clean Your Life
Here are 5 ways to get started to ‘Spring Clean Your Life’ now:
1. GET RID OF TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS.
Here is a way to clear out these toxic relationships. Let them go, like right now! The sooner you remove the person who takes up unproductive and negative space in your life, the sooner you can have someone who adds positive energy in your life.
2. FIND A HOBBY THAT YOU ENJOY.
Carve out some time for fun. Hard work and no play makes for a dull and stressed out life. Pick up that dance class, hiking expedition, gardening, or sports activity that used to make you feel happy. If that par- ticular activity ends up being something that bores you, move on to the next hobby until you find some- thing you enjoy. The point is to carve out time for something that you find relaxing and enjoyable.
3. GET YOUR BUDGET IN ORDER. Budget doesn’t have to be a bad word in your household. A budget can provide clarity and a greater understand- ing of where you are currently and what your future looks like. In other words, a budget can provide peace of mind.
Pay attention to where your money is going and moderate those things which are not necessities. Not only will you plan and budget smarter, but you will be planning for a future, which will help you have peace of mind and greater control in knowing that good things are coming in your financial future.
4. LET GO OF THE NEGATIVE. “Change your mindset, change your life,” is a celebrated quote and this is for good reason. When you focus on neg- ative emotions such as anger, jealousy and hatred, they deplete your energy and focus. They rob you of your inner peace.
Negative emotions can cause stress and affect your health in a harmful way. Learn to let go of these emotions and manage them. Some ways in which you can do can include exercising, meditation, yoga, or even letting them out by speaking with someone who can provide you with therapy or counseling if needed.
5. GET RID OF THINGS YOU NO LONGER USE OR NEED. When you let go of the things you no longer need or want, it literally makes your space bigger and more open. You feel freer and less bur- dened by the excess. It also provides a cleansing ef- fect in your life and living space.
Donate clothes or items you are not using to a thrift store or goodwill facility. Your trash can be someone’s treasure. So when you give away some- thing that does not matter to you, it actually helps to enhance someone else’s life for the better.
The next time you embark on your spring clean- ing, remember to not only focus on your physical space but your mental space as well. This way you not only declutter your living space but your life as well. Happy Spring cleaning!
