Get ready Tampa Bay! The ‘heART Of Freedom Dance and Community Fest’ is com- ing your way!
In honor of Black History Month, an invitation is ex- tended to dance teams, step teams, (including Greek step teams), drumlines and more, to join in this event of Artistic Expression!
This extraordinary show- case will take place at Sligh
Middle Magnet School’s Gym- nasium on Saturday, Feb. 24th from 3-6 P. M!
There will be food and prizes! And, a small donation is asked.

   Harram Court No. 96 Hosts Prayer Breakfast

Harram Court No. 96, under the leadership of Illus- trious Commandress An- dreatha L. Nurse, began the New Year with a Prayer Breakfast on January 20, 2018. The speaker was Rev. R. J. Stevenson, Assistant Pastor for Worship and Out- reach at Allen Temple AME Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Jr.
“Truth That Matters,” the theme of the Prayer Break- fast, was a great way to start off the New Year in praise and
worship, as well as recognize the legacy of those women who served Harram Court,” stated Illustrious Com- mandress Nurse, who was re-elected in December.
Harram Court No. 96 is a constituent court of the Im- perial Court, an auxiliary to the A.E.A.O.N.M.S. of North and South America and its Jurisdictions, Inc. Harram Court’s 72-year legacy in- cludes the adoption of a Title I school, which included tu- toring and donation of school supplies, scholarships for
young female high school graduates and mentoring young women ages 5-17 years old, as well as donations to Juvenile Diabetes, March of Dimes, UNCF, Special Olympics, female veterans, and donations of old cell phones to assist female vic- tims of domestic violence.
Illustrious Comman- dress Nurse also stated, “as we focus on our theme, ‘One Team, One Mission,’ we will continue to build on Harram Court’s legacy of community service and benevolence.”
   Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 14th Annual Prayer Breakfast
 On Monday January 15th, the Interdenomina- tional Ministerial Alliance, Inc. of Lakeland, Florida, hosted the 14th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast. The event was held at the Henry Ross Family Life Center in Lake- land. The Theme for this year was: The Celebration: “His Life, Love, and Legacy.”
Community and Political Leaders were present at the event, which included: Shandale Terrell, Veronica Rountree, Lorenzo Robinson,
Annie B. Phyall, John Ruffin, William Boss, Alex Harper, Eddie Lake, Joe Halman, Bill Mutz, Scott Franklin, Stephanie Madden, Phillip Walker, Larry Giddens and 200+ citizens attended the sold-out pro- gram.
The Keynote Speaker for the Outstanding Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast was Rev. Ronnie Clark, Pastor of Hurst Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Winter Haven, Florida.
