 Progress Village Family On ‘Family Feud’ Next Week
 Congratulations to the Davis Family of Progress Village, who were selected to appear on the game show, ‘Family Feud.’ They traveled to Atlanta, GA and Los An- geles, CA to compete on the show with host Steve Harvey.
The team consisted of Regina (Wendy) Davis-Hightower, Devyni Hightower, Brandon Hightower, Ryan McCall, and Dwayne Sanders, Jr. with Jackie Davis-Mix as the alter- nate.
The family says, this was a once- in-a-lifetime experience that they will forever cherish and remember! The Progress Village community is proud of our hometown celebrities.

 TOBA Presents Awards During Annual Breakfast
 The Tampa Organization of Black Affairs (TOBA) has hosted its Leader- ship Breakfast in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., an event they’ve hosted for the past 38 years. The event is always held on the morn- ing of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. The 2018 Breakfast theme was: “Our Journey, Our Voice, Our Destiny.” The keynote speaker was Rev. Janae Pitts-Murdock.
The 2018 award recipients were:
Jetie B. Wilds, Jr. Youth Leadership and Community Service Scholarship Awards in the amount of $1,000 each were presented to 4 students (2 each) at their adopted schools: Middleton High and Blake High. The recipients were: Jayla Key and Joel Phanor of Middleton High School; and Jasmina White and Jalen Latimore of Blake High School.
This year’s Unsung Hero Award is nominated by the public through ad placed in the Sentinel and recognizes a citizen. The award was presented to Mr. Tony March, who is known for helping others by giving time, talents and money to support those in greatest need.
The Ike Tribble Civic Leadership Award is named in honor of the late Dr. Israel “Ike” Tribble, an educa- tor for over 30 years, and the first pres- ident of the Florida Education Fund. This year’s award was presented to Ms. Andrea White.
The TOBA MLK Corporate Leader- ship Award was presented to SKAN- SKA (USA) Florida. The company has made significant efforts through its mi- nority business outreach programs to engage diverse joint venture partners and sub-c0ntractors. (Photographs by Julia Jackson and Lomax McIntyre)

The Corporate Leadership Award was presented to Skanska (USA) Florida. Accepting the award were: Michael C. Brown (L) Skanska’s new Executive VP and General Manager covering the State of Florida; Linda Porter, Florida Diversity Manager; and Chuck Jablon, the Bay Area’s Sr. VP/Account Manager.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback, Jameis Winston and Breion Allen attended the breakfast.
