Police Arrest Suspect In Casino Robbery In Georgia
Detectives Search For Home Invasion Suspects
A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place early last Friday. He was captured in Ailey, Geor- gia and is awaiting extradi- tion, police said.
According to the Semi- nole Police Department of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Dirk Davis, of Tampa, is being held at the Montgomery County Jail, in Mt. Vernon, Georgia, without bond.
Davis is accused of enter- ing the Poker Room at the Hard Rock Casino, 5223 Ori- ent Road, around 2 a.m., last Friday.

Police Investigate Deputy Involved Shooting
Two people are recovering after being shot Tuesday evening. The shooting took place in the Home Depot park- ing lot in Brandon.
According to police, the unidentified man was listed in stable, but critical condition. The woman received non-life threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition, at a local hospital.
Detectives have not re- leased the names of any of those involved in the shooting. However, they said two unidentified deputies were in- volved and the incident in- volved the sale of illegal weapons.
The investigation is contin- uing.

Shooting Suspect #1
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for two men in connection with a shooting incident. It took place on January 22nd, at the intersec- tion of N. 50th Street and Knollwood Place, shortly after 6 p.m.
According to detectives, the two men were observed on surveillance video watch- ing three other people stand- ing on the corner. One of the suspects took a handgun from his pants and fired sev- eral shots at the people. They escaped without being in- jured.

Detectives are currently searching for two armed men who committed a home inva- sion Sunday night. The of- fense took place on Stoner Road in Riverview.
According to detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the men entered the home shortly before 11 p.m. Sun- day. One of the men ordered the victims to get down and held them at gunpoint. The men demanded money and property.
During the ordeal, one of the men fired a round from a rifle that struck a door. After obtaining the money and property, the two men fled the scene in an unknown type vehicle, police said.

The Black woman accom- panying him is also between the ages of 20 to 30 years old, 5’6” to 5’8” and weighing between 120 and 140 pounds. She was also wear- ing glasses.

After firing the shots, the two men ran behind the busi- ness plaza heading toward the Del Rio Apartment Com- plex.
One of the men is de- scribed as being Black with a medium complexion, and twists in his hair. The second man is also a Black man with a dark complexion.

Invasion
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a suspect who broke into a home on Deer Fo- rest Drive in Lutz. The incident resulted in one man being shot in the face twice.
According to police, the in- cident took place around 6 p.m., Monday night.
The unidentified suspect re- portedly broke into the home. An unidentified individual was inside the home at the time and a struggle ensued.
During the struggle, the vic- tim was shot twice in the face. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Detectives do not believe this was a random act and the investigation is continuing, po- lice said.

A 47-year-old man is being held without bond at the Hillsborough County Jail. He is accused of breaking into a home and beating a man to death as he slept.
According to the Hillsbo- rough County Sheriff’s Office, surveillance video captured Sean Anderson entering the home of Wendall Scott, 6907 Spencer Circle, shortly after 6 a.m., Sunday. Ander- son gained entry into the home through an unlocked back door.
Police said once Ander- son entered the home, he went to the bedroom where Scott, 63, was asleep. An- derson is accused of attack- ing and beating Scott to death with a hammer, striking him about the head, face, and neck with the weapon.

Detectives said Ander- son admitted to committing the murder. He is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail. He has been charged with first-degree murder, armed burglary of a dwelling with assault, grand theft, rob- bery, home invasion, and bat- tery.
