Airman Completes Basic Training
Airman Matthew C. Price recently com- pleted all requirements and graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lack- land, San Antonio, Texas.
Airman Price completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare prin-
ciples and skills.
Airman Price earned distinction as an
honor graduate and four credits toward an Asso- ciate in Applied Science Degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Craig Price and Melissa Jetton-Price, of Tampa. He graduated from Chamberlain High School in 2012.

Four Complete U. S. Army Basic Training
Four individuals with ties to the Tampa Bay Area recently completed basic military training for the U. S. Army. Their respective graduations were held at Fort Jackson, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Private Michael Z. Adams, Private Learena A. Blanc, Private 1st Class Zachary T. McIntyre, and Specialist Sheldon D. Parker completed a nine-week training course. They studied the Army mission, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills. Some of the other areas she stud- ied included military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, and basic first aid.
Private Adams is the son of Sarina P. Ferrigno, of Tampa, and the grandson of Louis A. Lanaux, III, of Metairie, Louisiana. He grad- uated from Grace King High School, in Metairie, Louisiana, in 2013.
Private Blanc is the sister of Jeaniel A. Image, of Tampa, and Geegee A. Image, of Orlando. She graduated from Procter R. Hug High School, in Reno, Nevada, in 2014.
Private McIntyre is the son of Yvonne Parker, of St. Petersburg, and Timothy McIn- tyre, of Lagrange, Georgia. He is the husband of Mrs. Kayla Graham.
Private McIntyre graduated from Calloway High School, in Hogansville, Georgia in 2010. He earned his Associate Degree in 2013 from Hills- borough Community College.
Specialist Parker is the son of Larry J. Bailey, of Palm Bay, and Cheryl A. Parker, of Tampa. He is the husband of Mrs. Ashley B. Parker.
Specialist Parker graduated from High- land High School, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2005. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University, in 2014.
Community Events
Howard W. Blake Class Of 1961
The Howard W. Blake High School Class of 1961 will meet for the 55th Class reunion on Saturday, March 28, 2015, 1 p. m. The meeting will be held at the C. Blythe Andrews, Jr. Branch Library, 2607 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. All members are asked to be present and on time.
Class officers are: Emma Collins, Patrice Johnson, Flerida Miller, Eddye McIntosh, Jerlean Reaves, Clara Glenn and Laverne Hills.
Friday Extra Concert Series Returns In New Location
The Friends of Tampa Recreation will present the Friday Extra Concert Series featuring local bands and talent.
The 2015 Series will include a new location, Water Works Park. The Series will kick off on April 10, 2015, with additional concerts on April 17th and 24th.
Lowry Park Bandshell will host the remaining concerts in May: May 1, 8, 15, and 22.
All concerts are 7-9 p. m. and are free and open to the public. Limited free parking is available.
Comm. Beckner Community Office Hours
Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner, District 6, Countywide, is hosting office hours in the community one day every month. No appointment is necessary.
The April Community Office Hours are: Thursday, April 9th, 1 p. m . – 3 p. m., at the New Tampa Regional Library, 10001 Cross Creek Blvd., Tampa.
