Christmas In July: ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’
Lady Vanessa Banks hosted her annual “Christmas In July” concert on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at St. John Progressive M. B. Church. This year’s theme was “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” The Master of Ceremony was Malcolm Wilcox, who was introduced by Patricia Ball. Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, pastor, introduced the lady of the hour, his wife, Lady Vanessa Banks.
Some of the songs that those in the audience enjoyed were: “Walk in the Light,” “The Lord’s Prayer,” “Silent Night,” “Mary Had A Baby,” “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” “Change,” “Holy, Holy, Holy,” “Jesus, O’ What A Wonderful Child,” and a “Medley of Praise” songs. (Photos by Julia Jackson)
Musician Maurice Jackson was presented a certificate for his musical talents by Deaconess Patricia Ball.
Lady Vanessa Banks and her hus- band, Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, pastor, St. John Progressive M. B. Church. She received a Certificate of Appreciation.
The St. John Youth Drill Team and Dance Ministry participated on the program.
Deaconess Mildred Curtis, a member of St. John, was there to sup- port Lady Banks.
Ms. Clara Glymph attended the concert.
Mattie Brown received an award.
Elder Malcolm Wilcox served as the Master of Ceremony.
Helen Glymph assisted with de- tails of the program.
Deacon Carl Bryant received a musical award.
Mae Alice Judge was a hostess.
Clara Cobb and Cynthia Epps attended the program.
