It was just this July that the death of Alton Sterling trig- gered protests all over the na- tion, but especially in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The protests drew hundreds of participants end- ing with almost 200 arrests. Among them was prominent Black Lives Matter activist, DeRay McKesson.
A multitude of the arrests made were caught on camera, McKesson’s being caught live on Periscope which gar- nered a viral support cam- paign on social media. It appeared that protestors were being peaceful and were sud- denly charged and handcuffed. McKesson, along with fellow protestors Kira Marrero and Gloria La Riva, are suing the city of Baton Rouge claiming that officers were overly aggressive and militant in their arrests. TONAWANDA, NY -- A North Tonawanda, NY family has lost everything after a fire destroyed their home earlier this week. Kenneth Walker, a volunteer firefighter in the area, said that he received a threatening, racist letter on last Tuesday.

CHICAGO, IL -- Chicago po- lice have released a string of videos showing officers firing their guns at a stolen car, giv- ing chase and then shooting and handcuffing the 18-year- old driver as he lay wounded. Paul O'Neal died from his in- juries that day.
The shocking footage shows him being manhandled even after suffering a fatal gunshot wound. And audio can be heard of one officer saying....
Chicago's police department has been under intense pres- sure to reform since the killing of 17-year-old Laquan Mc- Donald in October 2014.
It released the video under new rules from Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Police Accounta- bility Task Force which recom- mended video and audio be
made public within 60 days of an incident.
Mr. O’Neal’s family is suing the police department and their lawyer, Michael Oppenheimer, said: “It is one of the most horrific things I have seen.
“It's unclear as to whether or not he was the actual shooter, but you are going to hear one of the police officers say, 'Now I'm going to get a 30-day sus- pension'.”
The videos also show a suc- cession of apparent procedural errors, including police firing at a fleeing vehicle with other officers in harm's way and an admission by the officer who believed he fired the fatal shot that he had no idea whether the 18-year-old was armed.
