Organization To Host Financial Literacy Workshop

will begin 9:30 a.m. The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
In addition to the useful information that will be pro- vided for the community of
all ages, the organization will give away 100 bags of gro- ceries and toiletries. There will also be door prizes given away as well.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
The deadline to register

On Saturday, January 18th, the Annual Financial Literacy Workshop will take place. It will be held at the NFL YET Center, 3310 E. Lake Avenue, as part of the “Third Annual Dr. Mar- tin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service, A Day On, Not A Day Off.”
Ms. Dianne Hart, of the East Tampa Business & Civic Association said, “This event is open to anyone in the community who would like to gain a better under- standing of their personal fi- nances. We are focusing on the entire community this year as we prepare individu- als for homeownership, our

seniors on how to budget to get through difficult times and our youth on the impor- tance of being financially fit.

The guest speakers for the event are Ms. Patty Bonner, of Bank of Amer- ica, and Ms. Aidza Thomas, of Solita’s House.
