Pastor Nathan expects Pastors on Patrol to take an even more visible role at a time when the need for social justice is particularly urgent.
POP members have coun- seled inmates at the Falken- berg Road and Orient Road
Jails for several years, in addi- tion to corresponding efforts at the Zephyrhills Correctional Institution. This experience places POP on the frontline of those who support implement- ing the will of nearly 70% of Florida voters who approved Amendment 4. It is only one example where Pastors on Pa- trol combines a sense of faith with a sense of justice.

Churches throughout Hills- borough County have joined Pastors on Patrol (POP) in common cause since it was founded by Reverend Abe Brown 20 years ago. Its on- going commitment to spiritual and community growth is reaf- firmed with the selection of Pastor Clarence Nathan to succeed Pastor W. James Favorite as President.
Dr. Favorite is stepping down from his role as Senior Pastor of Beulah Baptist Insti- tutional Church, and has served as President of Pastors on Patrol since 2009. During his tenure, the organization has been a positive force in the West Tampa community. While strengthening personal faith is a main priority, Dr. Favorite says, “I am espe- cially proud of how we’ve been instrumental in helping to re- solve conflicts in secondary schools. Our Revivals and mentoring of church leader- ship have enabled churches to better serve their congrega- tions and the community.”
Pastor Nathan is Senior Pastor of New Victory Baptist Church and a longtime POP member. He knows the value of Dr. Favorite’s contribu- tion.
