AIKENS
MRS. ALMAS JEAN MINOR-JOHNSON
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Almas Jean Minor-Johnson of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020, will be held Saturday, May 16th, 1 p. m., at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., with Rev. Bartholomew Banks, of St. John Pro- gressive M. B. Church, officiating.
Almas Minor-Johnson was born August 6, 1950, to the late Clarence and Annie Mae Minor in Dooly County, Georgia. She attended the public Schools in Dooly County, Georgia, and graduated from Vienna High School. At an early age she joined New Bethel Baptist Church in Dooly County, Georgia under the leadership of Rev. Pollip.
After leaving Dooley County, Almas moved to Alabama for a short time. She moved to Rochester NY, and later retired after 24 years of service from Visiting Nurse Services. She joined Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Douglas Smith.
She was united in marriage to Gerald Johnson. Later in life she moved to Tampa, Florida and joined St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Bartholomew Banks, she joined Usher Board 2.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Clarence and Annie Mae Minor; husband, Gerald Johnson; 2 brothers, Charlie and Freddie Minor.
She leaves to celebrate and cher- ish her precious memories with: her 2 sons, Toran Minor of Rochester, New York and Courtney Minor (Sheika) of Charlotte, North Car- olina; 5 grandchildren, Trayanna, Jerimani, Courtney, Jr., Cassidy and Conyae; 4 sisters, Juanita Higdon, Dorothy Williams of Tampa, Florida, Betty McGhee and Ruby Minor of Elko, Georgia; 2 brothers, John Henry Minor of Elko, Georgia and Willie Lumpkin (Beatrice) of Perry, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; 2 special friends, Melvina Warren of Rochester, New York and Janette Garland of Tampa, Florida.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 15th from 4 to 6 p. m. The family will receive friends during the visita- tion. The service at the graveside will be live- streamed at www.aikensfu- neralhome.com

MRS. VIVIEN O. LEGGETT (‘MITTY’)
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Vivien O. Leggett of Tampa, who passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 will be held on Thursday, May 14th, 11 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Rev. Daniel Dean, officiating. The interment will fol-
low.Vivien was born on May 14, 1953 in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to the late Edmund Otto and Veviene Otto. She was a faithful Pentecostal believer, who was immersed in her Christian community that would be her lifelong support. She was a comedian, an optimist, and a fighter in life. She knew how to get you to laugh no matter the season or circumstance. She loved to travel, cook, and help others, and tried to see the good in every situa- tion.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Edmund Otto.

Ms. Annie Mae Blakely was born in Dawson, Georgia May 12, 1936, to Leroy and Annie Ree. She retired in 1990 from Su Casa which is now Whispering Oaks. She passed away May 5, 2020.
The Viewing and Service will be on Saturday, May 16, 2020, 2:30- 3:30 p. m., at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th st., Tampa (33610).

MS. JOYCE LATHARA BAILEY
A Graveside Service for Ms. Joyce Lathara Bailey will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020, 2:30 p. m. at Rest Havem Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa (33610).
The Visitation following CDC guidelines will be on Friday, May 15th, 6-7 p. m., in the Chapeel of Har- mon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th St., Tampa (33610).
Ms. Bailey was born April 6, 1961 in Havana, Florida, to the late Mary Ann and Louis Freeney.
Joyce attended Kingswood Ele- mentary, Progress Village 6th Grade Center, Dowdell Middle School and Brandon High School of Tampa, FL.
Joyce’s career choices included being a teachers aide, a PCA and she was also a cook.
She was in union with Steven Yulee, who preceded her in death. Joyce’s second union was Alfred Bailey who preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ at an early age and continued her fellowship to numerous churches.
She loved her family, her family meant everything to her. Her love was never in question because it showed, she would give her last even if it meant she would go with- out. Everyone who knew her knew that she would go to war for those she loved.
No matter how hard life was she never gave up on anything. She was always the life of the party and was always ready for whatever life threw at her.
Joyce quietly answered the call of her Lord and Savior on May, 8th, 2020 and is now resting in his lov- ing arms.
She was preceded in death by: Jessie McBride (grandfather), Daisy McBride (grandmother), Louis Freeney (father) Mary Ann Freeney (mother) and Robin John- son (sister).
She was the mother of 4 chil- dren who now carry the torch. Karynthia Irvin (Chauncey Irvin), Iesha Yulee, Varunda Yulee, and Steven Yulee.
Joyce also leaves loving memo- ries with: her grandchildren, Travaruis Yulee, Tyronda Howard, Jonathan Irvin, Luis Rodriguez, Josiah Irvin, Jacquez Irvin, Later- ranaejah Gipson, Laterrion Gipson, Noah Horton, Isaiah Yulee, Zariah Yulee, and Zaki Yulee.
Joyce was the oldest of 7 and definitely a second mom to the youngest of her siblings. Sherrie Mcbride, Franga McBride, Pamela McBride (Fred Jenrette) Terrell Freeney, Chad Freeney (LaTrasha Freeney) and Quanda Freeney.
Joyce was loved dearly by her family and friends. She also leaves loving memories with: her only aunt, Margaret Johnson; a host of nieces and nephews: Monica, Jes- sica, LaVar, Tosha, Jermaine, Tremaine, Glen, Brian, Ebony, Taneka, Jyreshia, Khadijah, Imani, Shakir, Khadir, Khalil, Chade, Endyah; and cousins, Reggie, Cheryl (Edward), Veronica and Vir- gil; also great nieces and nephews; special friends, Sharon Moore, Tracy Durden, Robert and Boe.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. K. D. Johnson, Jr. of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sun- day, May 10, 2020, will be held Fri- day, May 15th, 10 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be held in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
K. D. Johnson was born Sep- tember 6, 1948 in Tampa, Florida, to the late K. D., Sr. and Willie Anna Johnson. He enjoyed being outside and landscaping. He served in both United Sates Army and Ma- rine Corp., where he fought in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Annie Tate.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories with: his children, Felicia and Dorian Johnson and Edmund Jones; grandchildren, To- bias and Dorian, Jr. Johnson, Edri- enne, Enala, Ezra, Elijah and Emarion Jones; great-grandchil- dren, Saint Townes and Zyir Jones; brothers, William Oscar Johnson; sisters, Laura Hicks and Melissa Coleman; nieces, Tscharner Ryder, Patsy Tate, Michelle Harris, Khalilah Williams, Natasha Richardson and Shelon Johnson; nephews, Woodrow Tate, L.
