The Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, Au- gust 28th. However, any- one wishing to participate in the upcom- ing Primary Election must register to vote no later than Monday, July 30th. Anyone wishing to change their party affili- ation must do so by the deadline as well.
On Tuesday, July 24th, Craig Latimer, Supervisor of Elections for Hillsborough County, will mail more than 190,000 Vote By Mail ballots to voters in Hillsborough County. The Vote By Mail Ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7 p.m., on August 28th, in order to be counted.
“Vote By Mail has become increasingly popular, because it’s such a convenient way to vote. Voters don’t have to worry about when or where
to vote. Their ballot arrives in the mail and they can take time at home to research can- didates before marking their ballots,” Latimer said.
Voters can request Vote By Mail ballots or they can pick a ballot up in person. Voters who choose to Vote By Mail must remember to sign their ballots before mailing them.
