      MR. ELLIS RAMSEY
Mr. Ellis Ramsey of Cat Is- land, Bahamas, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, October 6, 2018, at 11 a. m. at Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church, 1902 W. LaSalle Street, with Reverend Gregory V. Gay, Sr., Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Ellis Ramey was a na- tive of Cat Island, Bahamas and a resident of Tampa for 48 years. He attended the Cove All Age School. He was self-em- ployed as a Pipe Line Welder for many years.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Prudence Reeves, wife and life-long partner; June Smith, Claudia Kelly (Roy), Philipa Bulter, Hurk Ramsey, Donnie Ramsey (Stacey), Clay Reeves (Janet), Roxie Reeves, Rhonda Reeves (Greg), Nina Thomas (Isaac); grandchildren, Joann Colebrook (Jackson), Jorenda Braynen (Javon) and Gidgett Ramsey, Ayana Reeves- Bronson, Courtney Thomas, Kristen Thomas, Blake Calhoun and Justin Reeves; and a host of special friends, Lenora Fisher (Roland) and many others.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, October 5, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

 MR. GILBERT WILLIAM ROBINSON
Mr. Gilbert William Robin- son of Tampa passed away peacefully at his home Satur- day, September 29, 2018, after a courageous battle with can-
cer.A Homegoing Celebration will be conducted Saturday, October 6 at 11 a. m. at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3201 E. Lake Avenue, with Pastor H. L. Daniels offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gilbert William Robinson
was a native and lifelong resi- dent of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Blake High School. He fur- thered his education at St. Pete Jr. College.
Gilbert touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and main- tained his trademark through his Passion of Plumbing and sense of humor all the way to the end.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Marie Mobley and Owen Davis; his daughter, Linda B. Williams; and sister- in-law, Inia Phillips.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and de- voted wife for over 43 years, Mary A. Pickens Robinson; beloved children, Regina Brantley, Mary (Claude) Ran- dolph, Jennifer (Jimmy) Clyde, Delphine Jones and Theron Jones, Jr.; treasured grandchildren, Bruce (Lhdi) Brantley, Tonya (Alfre) John- son, Zedrick (Shai) Cohen, Jerome (Katherine) Brantley and Amaris Boatwright, Shak- era, Kemeka, Eboni, Kemecia, Kemiya, Kaihla, and Theron, Jr.; caring in-laws, Clem (Della) Pickens of Killen, TX, Flora Frith of Mobile, AL; 13 great- grands; 7 great-great grands; along with nieces, nephews, countless friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

Mr. Robert B. Miller, III, of Tampa passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, October 6 at 2 p. m. at Highland Missionary Baptist Church, 3410 E. North Street, with Reverend Julius Wynn, Pastor, officiating and Pastor Tony Tate, eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Robert B. Miller, III, was a native and lifelong resi- dent of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and last attended King High School and Gary Adult High School where he completed his GED.
He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Ieisha Williams; father, Robert Miller, Jr.; stepfather, Michael Davis; sons, Carmelo Miller and Cameron Miller; daughter, Hon'ii Miller; sisters, Jawn Miller and Rochelle Miller; brothers, Jackson Davis, Jacquez Davis and Richard Newton grandmothers, Bar- bara Herds, Deborah Jackson and Velnora Bakman; grandfa- thers, Robert Miller, Sr., and Oliver Williams; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 MR. BASIL U. POWELL, SR.
 A Homegoing Service for Mr. Basil U. Powell, Sr., 94, of Seffner, FL, who passed away, surrounded by family on Sep- tember 24, 2018, will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., at Sunset Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 11005 N. U. S. Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
Interment will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005, N. U. S. Highway 301.
Mr. Powell was born on Oc- tober 27, 1923, in the Parrish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, B.W.I., to the late parents of Wilfred and Victoria Powell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Ruth Powell, beloved sis- ters, Jissel (Ivy) McKenzie, Gwendolyn Burke, and Winifred (Winnie) Baker; and sons, Basil Uriah Powell, Jr., and Earl Powell.
Mr. Powell accepted our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at an early age, and attended church in Jamaica. He attended Garlogie Primary School, in Manchester, Jamaica. As a young man, Mr. Powell mi- grated to the United States and married Azzie L. Powell and of this union, five children were born.
Mr. Powell was employed at Indian Orchard Mills, of Chick- apee Falls, MA, before relocat- ing to Tampa, where he was employed as a furniture de- signer at Bradston Rattan Gal- leries for 17 years.
During this time, Mr. Powell also became an entrepreneur by receiving a license to bartend, and owning and operating three separate businesses, while also fulfilling his dream to farm and raise livestock as an additional business.
Mr. Powell loved to travel, play guitar, fish and tell jokes. He will be remembered for being an example of high in- tegrity to the many lives he touched, his sense of humor, and his style and grace.
Mr. Powell is survived by his sister, Weaver Broomfield, of Winchester, England, daugh- ters, Darlene Powell Campbell, Lisa Powell-Cherry (Willie, Jr.), Sharlene Elizabeth Powell; son Wilfred Keith Powell (Valada) close and special nephew, Nor- man Jones (Agatha) of Valrico; nephew, Fitzroy Brown, of Cler- mont, FL; niece, Gloria Mc- Cleary, of Seffner; nephews, Jimmy McKenzie and David McKenzie (Sandy), of Spring- field, MA; dear and loving niece, Dorrell Williams (Orlando), of Springfield, MA; daughter-in- law, Geraldine Powell, and step- daughters, Alice Johnson, (Thomas) of Sumter, SC, Omega Johnson, Sumter, SC, and Selma Jackson, special longtime friend, Sue Gates, of Detroit, MI, as well as a host of grand- children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and neighbors in the Seffner community.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 4- 6 p.m., at Sunset Funeral Home & Memory Gardens.
SISTER SHARON YVETTE HARPER SIMMS
Sister Sharon Yvette Harper Simms of Tampa passed away, Monday, October 1, 2018. A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue with Rev- erend Dr. W. James Favorite, officiating. Interment will fol- low.
Sister Sharon Yvette Harper Simms was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida born the sec- ond child of Mr. Otis Cephus and Rutha M. Harper. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County where she attended grade school at Dunbar Elementary School and was a graduate of H. B. Plant Senior High School. Sharon furthered her educa- tion at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Connie Simms on December 8, 1994. Mrs. Simms worked many years at General Tele- phone Company (GTE) and Teletech Inc.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Simms and her father, Otis C. Harper.
She leaves to cherish her memory with: her mother, Mrs. Rutha M. Harper; one daughter, Nanci Arnette Harper; one sister, Sandra Davis Myers (Jimmy); one grandson, Derrick Andre Ealy, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends to include: uncles, Nathaniel Hornsby (Sylvia) and Arthur Harper (Ann); aunts, Marion Hornsby, and Mary Hornsby; cousin, Linda Harrell (Ray); special friends, Martha Neal (Clovis) Kimberly Broxton Thompson, Michelle Andrews Foster, Patricia Meredith, Janice Troupe, Nat Terry, Wilbur Simpson, Sr., Ron Britt, Grover Johnson, Sharon Mincey, Diane Butler, James Wingo, Yvette Aldridge, Constance McKinney, Joyce Johnson, Cheryl Nolen, Louise Peterson, Carla Milian, Nicole Simms McAllister, Lavoris Kantrell Walker and Shon Wil- son.
