Eric winds down their magical day by surprising his new bride with a lavish desert oasis where they will celebrate being Mr. and Mrs. Eric Forrester. Hillsborough County Board Of County Commissioners Name
Bonnie Wise To Replace Merrill
Last week (May 6th), the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners promoted an in-house employee to replace County Administrator Mike Merrill. Merrill is expected to retire on July 1, 2020.
In a vote of 6-1, the Board named Merrill’s assistant, Bonnie Wise as the new County Administrator. Currently, Wise is the As- sistant County Administrator and Chief Financial Administrator. She will take over the position with an initial two-year contract. The promotion ends the national search that was already underway.
Mariella Smith was the only commissioner to vote against Wise’s promotion, arguing instead she should be hired on an in- terim basis as the county conducts a national search.
Prior to joining the County in 2011, Ms. Wise was the Chief Fi-
nancial Officer for the City of Tampa, serving 8 years. She has been with the County 9 years.
