“A Past To Remember and A Future to Pursue” is a fitting theme for First Baptist Church of College Hill’s 112th Anniversary which will kick off on Friday, October 14 – 16, 2016.
Since 1904, First Baptist Church of College Hill (FBCCH) has inspired good- ness and growth through the years among Tampa’s East Hillsborough community.
From the beginning, there have been several spiritually- inspired men of God who helped to influence what their mission of service is today: LOVE the Lord, GROW the Believer and REACH the world.

In 1918, under the leader- ship of Pastor D. F. Gam- mons, one little known history fact is that the church’s name was Mount Olive Baptist Church, but it was renamed First Mission- ary Baptist Church of College Hill.
Throughout the years, FBCCH avidly addresses community needs. From physical, social, and spiritual aid by their multiple weekly services; education initia- tives, economic development seminars and physical/men- tal health forums, college scholarships, funding home repairs for the elderly and handicapped.

present moment, truly the Lord has been with us every step of the way. The rich his- tory of FBCCH is a true testi- mony to the faith that our founding fathers and moth- ers had in God when they em- barked on this faith journey in 1904. ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have en- tered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him’,” said Pastor Dr. S. Evan Burrows.
To kick off their festivities, Comedian Steffon Vann, will serve as Master of Cere- mony on Friday night, Octo- ber 14, 2016, from 7-9 p. m. for an evening of “Loving Our Lord in Song, Laughter, and Motion.” To culminate the event, on Sunday, October 16,
