MR. MICHAEL LOEL HURLEY
Mr. Michael Loel Hurley, affectionately known as “Big Mike,” passed away on Janu- ary 10, 2019. Homegoing serv- ice for Mr. Michael Loel Hurley will be held on Satur- day, January 19, 2019, at 11 a. m. at 29th Street Church of Christ, 3310 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, Minister Perry Johnson, Pastor, with Minister Eddie L. Harper, Sr. of Southside Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will fol- low in Serenity Meadows Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Michael Loel Hurley was born on May 6, 1982, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Conrad Michael Hurley and Millicent Elfreda Saunders. He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and he was honored in 1998 through 1999 in Who’s Who Among American High School Stu- dents for multiple disciplines. He graduated from Riverview High School, Class of 2000.
Michael loved music and became the Drum Major for Riverview High School. He completed multiple Drum Major Courses at Florida A & M University’s summer ses- sions while in high school. Mike enjoyed playing many types of woodwind instru- ments, in particular the b-flat clarinet and contrabass clar- inet. He was also a member of the Choir at Riverview High School. Mike enjoyed all types of music especially Gospel, Ole School and Reggae (his Caribbean roots).
Immediately after high school, Mike joined the U. S. Job Corps and completed the program for Computer Main- tenance. His current educa- tional endeavors included attending Ashford University, pursing a degree in Business Leadership. Mike enjoyed a successful career at Pricewa- terhouse Coopers Accounting Firm as a Myadminconcierge (MAC) Specialist.
Mike was baptized and added to the church at the age of 10 and had been faithful until death. Singing and serv- ing others brought him the ut- most joy. His love for music and the Lord’s Church resulted in him becoming the Minister of Music for his home congre- gation at the Southside Church of Christ in Tampa, Florida. Mike, at an early age enjoyed helping people in need, that at- titude continued throughout his life into adulthood.
He soon developed the eye
for event planning, hospitality and formed his business, Mic_Chec Productions. Mike was known to put his signature style to all events he directed. He performed several very suc- cessful events and became the Assistant Director of the Hospi- tality Committee at Southside Church of Christ. He was known for his kindness and would share anything he had with anyone. Michael shared love, wisdom and encourage- ment to all that came in contact with him. He had a God-fearing spirit that touched innumer- able people in so many ways. His kind smile and gentleness will be sorely missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his loving par- ents, Conrad and Elfreda Hur- ley; brother, Jamahl; sister, Careda Albert (Smiley); grand- mother, Claretha Ford; uncle, Robert Powell Hurley (Mar- garet); three aunts, Regina Johnson, Valerie Jean (Cler- mond), Margaret Ann Seays (Joseph); godmother, Claudia Johnson; nephew, Isaiah Al- bert; a host of loving cousins, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ.
There will be a viewing on Friday January 18, 2019 from 5 – 7 p. m. at 29th Street Church of Christ. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Sat- urday at approximately 10:45 a. m. for the service.

DEACON DARRELL DAVID RONALD LEVY, SR.
Homegoing Service for Deacon Darrell David Ronald Levy, Sr. whose sunset was on January 5, 2019, will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2 p. m. at College Hill COGIC, 6414 N. 30th Street, Tampa, Florida, Superintend- ent Charles Davis, Pastor, Minster Quinton Flowers, of- ficiating with Pastor D. R. Levy, eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Darrell Levy, Sr., was born on January 25, 1960 to the union of Johnny and Lucindus Levy in Tampa, Florida. He was the eighth child out of twelve children. Deacon Levy attended Cham- berlain High School, where he was involved in numerous sports.
After getting out of school he decided to move to New Brunswick, New Jersey. There he picked up the talent of being a Disc Jockey. Using this talent he moved back home to Tampa, and began to DJ for different venues around the city. Such as the Double Decker, SOS Club, Players’ Lounge and Lou Docs, along with different events in the city of Tampa,
During his career as a DJ he met and married Kathy Randolph. Together they raised their children and helped to raise their grands. He began to pursue his next dream of playing the drums and singing for gospel groups. One main group was God’s Melody Angels. He decided to walk in the calling of being a Deacon and served faithfully at the Temple of Faith Pente- costal Church, Inc.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Johnny and Lucindus Levy; mother-in- law, Venellia Randolph; sis- ters, Gwendelyn Black, Kathy and Sheila Levy and Janie Fipps; brother, Nathaniel Levy, Sr.
He leaves to mourn his passing: a loving and devoted wife, Kathy; children, Darrell, Jr. (Sandy), Michael, Sr. (Chavette), Keisher, Terance, Deandra, Venellia (Laquan), Keaundra and Devon (Kendra); grands, Michael, Jr., Trinity, Khyarie, Laquan, Jr., Faith, Sarayna, Lamarco, Zariya; sisters, Carolyn (Lazarus), Marylynn, Tar- rolyn; brothers, Carl, Sr. (Nancy), Tommy, Michael (Di- anne, Ph.D.); sisters-in-law, Sandra, Roxanne, Ida (Timo- thy), Martha (Samuel); broth- ers-in-law, Pastor Albert Fipps, Pastor Lloyd C. Man Wanted For Bank Robbery
WELLS FARGO ROBBERY SUSPECT
Police are attempting to iden- tify a man who robbed a teller at a Wells Fargo Bank. The robbery took place Tuesday afternoon.
According to Largo Police Department, the man entered the Wells Fargo Bank, 5250 East Bay Drive, shortly after noon on Tuesday. He approached a teller, robbed her of an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled the scene.
Witnesses told police that he fled on foot, but entered a white compact vehicle.
Police are asking anyone with any information that will help identify the suspect to call 727- 587-6730.
Man Charged With Computer Thefts Worth $43,000
ROBERTO GARRIGA
A Hillsborough County man was arrested by St. Petersburg Police last Thursday. He is charged with taking 27 comput- ers from his employer.
According to police, 35-year- old Roberto Garriga, of Riverview, was arrested and charged with grand theft. Gar- riga was an IT Technician at Omnicell, 2003 Gandy Blvd., in St. Petersburg.
On December 20th, managers at Omnicell contacted police and reported the computers missing. The laptops had reportedly been missing since October, police said.
Police said one of the man- agers had seen some of the lap- tops being sold online. The investigation into the theft led police to Garriga. He was ar- rested and charged with grand theft.
