    A Problem They Won’t Solve
   ince Donald Trump
has been in office he's continually expressed his desire to make America, so-called, "great" again. And a large part of his agenda has been aimed at promoting a safer landscape within the United States.
His head-strong determina- tion to build a wall along the southern border while imple- menting a strict immigration policy were both plans he be- lieved would prevent dangerous foreign nationals from entering the country and causing massive destruction. But, in the wake of incidents like the deadly Las Vegas shooting, the multiple school shootings that have oc- curred over the last several years, the delivery of mail bombs to high-profile political figures recently and the killing of 11 Jewish worshipers at a syna- gogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylva- nia last weekend, I'm curious to know if he has a plan to protect us from the crazies already here?
While he's worried about
stopping a caravan of immi- grants from Central America, who are seeking a better life, from entering the country be- cause of the alleged terrorists he insists are hiding among them, the biggest threat to society right now appears to be the large presence of White-Anglo-Saxon- Protestant (WASP) extremists who seem to hate anyone who isn't white, Anglo-Saxon or Protestant.
Whenever a tragedy, like the one in Pittsburgh occurs, you never hear Trump or any of the legislators on Capitol Hill talk- ing about how they're going to handle the very real problem this nation has with extremely angry members of its white pop- ulace. There are usually a lot of discussions centered around mental health or gun control. But there's never any emphasis placed on identifying white rad- icals, who are typically responsi- ble for these kinds of crimes, and getting them off the streets.
I imagine part of their rea-
soning for not addressing the issue is that it's easier to sell so- lutions like deportation, barriers and lengthy prison sentences when the individuals being blamed for everything wrong with America look nothing like a majority of the voting popula- tion. I mean, it would probably be pretty difficult to convince this country's Caucasian demo- graphic that erecting a fence around Montana or instituting a travel ban on states like Missis- sippi, Texas or West Virginia would be in the nation's best in- terests.
Unfortunately, as much as we hate to keep seeing these vi- olent episodes transpire, the sad reality is that, as long as the neg- ative energy that permeates throughout the fabric of this na- tion continues to provide the nu- trition needed for hate to thrive, nothing will ever truly change. And, until that fabric is torn to pieces, washed and sewn back together properly by individuals who can look past their racial and political bias, a future where this kind of madness doesn't happen will never be able to exist.

Don’t Even Think About Not Voting
f you voted for President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, then you need to vote in 2018. Indeed, every voter needs to make sure he or she votes and vote early in 2018
. . . our lives depend upon our voting.
We do not need to allow state and national legislators to
return to Tallahassee or Congress so they can support the hate, chaos, lies, bullying and dysfunction that has plagued the White House, Congress and Tallahassee as well. The fact that Republican legislators either remain silent, ignore or support the lies, hatred, bullying, migrant and female bash- ing and dictator-Trump alliances need to end.
Moreover, the recent delivery of bombs to or near the Clintons, Obamas, Soross, Holders, Wasserman-Schultzs, CNN News and others is a signal of how quickly our democ- racy is being destroyed.
Burning crosses and lynching have now evolved to bomb- ings and chemical-laced packages ... all the same. The fact that we have a president who insinuates violence against people who don’t support him (news media, past presidents, millionaires, etc.), needs to come to a halt.
We voters have the power and obligation to stop the hate, ethnic cleansing, female bashing, bullying, and the new nor- mal of lying mentality among government officials today. That needs to end today.
Therefore, we suggest that you vote early through No- vember 4, 2018 at one of the early voting sites. Sample bal- lots are available online and in issues of this newspaper. Also, you can vote by mail if you request a mail-in ballot. Vote like President Obama is running for office. But what- ever you do, VOTE.
