Beyonce And Jay Z Cheer Serena On At Wimbledon
BEYONCE AND JAY-Z
Serena Williams put on a historic performance today as she won her seventh Wimble- don title, defeating Angelique Kerber 7-5 6-3 with 13 aces. This victory gives her a 22nd grand slam title, tied for the most all-time.
Jay Z and Beyonce were guests in the superstar's players box to watch it all go down. Be- yonce featured Williams in the video for "Sorry" off her critically-acclaimed LEMON- ADE album. The tennis player said that Queen Bey gave her advice to just let loose as she twerked in the visual.
Williams previously lost to Kerber at the Australian Open in January and described what went differently in the rematch.
LHHATL Star Joseline Hernandez Reveals She Is Pregnant
JOSELINE HERNANDEZ AND STEVIE J.
Sometime in the near future Joseline Hernandez is going to become a mom. The self-pro- claimed Puerto Rican Princess, who stars on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” is expecting a baby. Joseline announced the news on Instagram last week.
Joseline’s pregnancy an- nouncement came as a huge shock because her and Stevie are currently in the midst of a very nasty split. There have also been some very confusing and conflicting reports about the sta- tus of their relationship.
It appears things started to go downhill for the former lovebirds in May when they both revealed that they were no longer together
Joseline, meanwhile, went on “The Wendy Williams Show” to explain that part of her and Ste- vie’s issues was that he believed she was cheating on him with rappers Rick Ross and The Game.
Things got even murkier for Joseline and Stevie when the music producer blasted his ex in an Instagram video last month revealing that they were never husband and wife.
Filmmaker Issa Rae Starts Scholarship Fund For Alton Sterling’s Children
Several artists have stepped up and used their platform to take a stance and let music be a cathartic tactic for venting their feelings about the murders by police.
Jay Z dropped the track, “Spiritual” on Tidal Music, along with a statement saying “I’m saddened and disap- pointed in this America.” The free song which was written following the death of Mike Brown in 2015 illustrates Carter’s struggle with being a Black father in America and trying to reconcile with the re- ality of police brutality.
From his hotel room in Lon- don, Miguel recorded and re- leased the song “How Many” in which he cries out for the Black lives that have been lost at the hands of police brutality and gun violence. As Miguel’s In- stagram post states that he will be “updating this song as it
evolves weekly,” it proves a stark reminder of the fact that there is so much more work to be done to save humanity in this world and the next.
Swizz Beats and Scarface teamed up to create the track, “Sad News” in dedication to Philando Castile and Alton Sterling. The storytelling track paints a vivid picture of the common stories of shooting deaths, the tragedy amongst families, and the unjust system that allows police officers to be held unaccountable for their actions.
Houston icon, Z-Ro teamed up with legendary producer, Mike Dean to release the combative track, “No Justice, No Peace” following the Dallas shooting late Thursday evening. Z-Ro’s gut-wrench- ing lyrics ring out as a call for action and a demand for change in police departments.
While the world remains in shock over the murder of Alton Sterling and now Phi- lando Castile, a black film- maker is doing her part to make a small difference.
Issa Rae whose show “Inse- cure” will premiere on HBO
this fall, first suggested that a scholarship fund be started for the children of Alton Ster- ling.
The scholarship fund has since raised nearly $290,000 in a single day. The fund is up to $700,000 at presstime.

‘Hamilton’ Creator And Star Takes Final Bow

for Destiny’s Child, Bey- once, and Rihanna.
Christina took to Twitter after the finale aired last Thurs- day to respond to excited fans. “Thanks everybody,” she cap- tioned an image of text, which also thanked her followers for “all the love and well wishes.”
Stevie tweeted “I choose you” at Christina, but she did not reply. The couple have not shared photos of each other or any updates on their lives post- filming.
Stevie’s mom, Lola was ex- cited about his pick, along with show hosts Pastor J and Sherrie Shepherd. Stevie has been linked to K. Michelle in the past.
It’s the end of the Lin. “Hamilton” creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda took his final bow at the Broadway
blockbuster on Saturday. Miranda, whose entrance in the first act was met with a one- minute standing ovation from a packed house at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, kept his
goodbye low-key.
He didn’t make a speech and
cast member Christopher Jackson had to push Mi- randa forward to bow again — and again — before an audience that included Jane Fonda, Rosie O’Donnell, Jennifer Lopez and Spike Lee.
The curtain call was broad- cast on Facebook Live and watched by more than 27,000 people unable to see Mi- randa’s final show in person.
He’s vowed to the return to the hip hop-infused musical about the founding father in time.
Until then, his schedule is packed. He’s written songs for Disney’s animated movie “Moana,” out Nov. 23, and will co-star in a “Mary Poppins” movie opposite Emily Blunt next year.
A “Hamilton” documentary featuring Miranda airs Oct. 21 on PBS.
