Security Guard Charged After Shooting At Two Men
Man Accused Of Kicking Dying Man Shot 17 Times

A verbal altercation between two men resulted in one of the men being shot to death. The other man was charged with first-degree murder.
According to the Clearwater Police Department, Bernard Antonio Richards, 31, and 50-year-old Anthony James Roy became engaged in a quar- rel while at the Stop-N-Shop Convenience Store, on South Martin Luther King, Jr., Av- enue.
At some point during the ar- gument, Roy is alleged to have pulled a gun and shot Richards 17 times. Witnesses told police that after shooting Richards, Roy kicked him as he lay dying on the sidewalk.
Roy then fled the scene. He was taken into custody Sunday by Clearwater Police and charged with first-degree mur- der.
Home Invasion Suspect, Homeowner Killed

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the man sus- pected in a deadly Winter Haven home invasion has died.
Deputies reported that Ri- cardo Garcia Gomez, 25, broke into a home in the 5400 block of Laurel Oak Drive around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Gomez reportedly forced 78- year-old Paul McLees, the homeowner, to open a safe at knifepoint. When McLees opened the safe, he grabbed a gun and fired a shot at Gomez, deputies said.
During the struggle McLees wife, Mary, 72, was shot. She managed to flee the home and called for help.
When deputies arrived, they found McLees and Gomez in a back bedroom, suffering from gunshot wounds. Paul McLees was pronounced dead at the scene, and Gomez died later from his wounds.
Mary McLees is reported to be in serious but stable condi- tion.
Brother Arrested After Running
Tampa Police officers arrested a Security Guard Sunday after he allegedly shot at two people. He is facing several charges.
According to police, Everoy R. Farqharson, 31, of Tampa, was employed by a private secu- rity firm when the incident took place shortly before 3 a.m. Sun- day.
Farqharson is employed by Iron Eagle Security, who pro- vides security for the City of Tampa parking garages. He re- portedly encountered two men who were urinating in the Ybor City Parking Garage. The men told police Farqharson used his golf cart-styled vehicle to box their vehicle in the garage. He is then alleged to have con- fronted the men and pushed one of them. As the men at- tempted to record the en- counter, Farqharson reportedly knocked the phone from the man’s hand.

at the two men as they fled the scene. He then unlawfully en- tered the victim’s vehicle and removed shell casings.
The two men, whose names were not released, called police. Officers arrived at the scene and arrested Farqharson. He was charged with armed burglary of a conveyance, two counts of ag- gravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evi- dence, battery, and petit theft. His bond was set at $56,750.
A 26-year-old man was ar- rested Monday and is facing several charges. He is accused of intentionally running over two people during a quarrel.
According to police, Robert Templeton, of St. Petersburg, reportedly went to the home of Ms. Alana Simpson, 27, around 8:30 p.m. Templeton reportedly became engaged in an argument with Ms. Simp- son. At some point during the quarrel, Templeton is alleged to have struck Ms. Simpson causing physical injury.
Templeton is said to have then jumped into his vehicle and drove away. He then circled back around into an alley be- hind the home. The argument continued, and Templeton is alleged to have intentionally driven his car at Ms. Simpson and his stepsister, 17-year-old Christina Gaffney.
The vehicle struck Ms. Simpson’s leg, causing minor injuries. However, Ms. Gaffney was seriously injured. She was transported to Bayfront

Health Medical Center, where she was admitted in critical con- dition. Her status was later up- graded to stable condition.
Templeton was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail shortly after 1 a.m., Monday. He is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon causing great bodily harm and domestic violence.
The investigation into the in- cident is continuing.
Police Ask For Help In Identifying Stolen Credit Card Suspects
Man Gets 50 Years For Sex Offenses Involving Child
Tampa Police detectives are asking for help in identifying two women seen on surveil- lance footage using a stolen credit card.
Police said on July 5th, a sus- pect entered a vehicle parked at 10214 Lola Street and removed a wallet. One hour later, two Black females reportedly used the stolen credit card at the Wawa and Champs Sports in University Mall.
A surveillance camera cap- tured footage of the two women along with a tall Black male ju- venile with hair twists.
The suspects were seen flee- ing the area in a maroon Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country with alloy rims.
One of the Black female sus- pects is described as wearing glasses, and having braids pulled up on top of her head. She was last seen wearing a blue half shirt, multi-colored stretch pants and Nike sneak- ers. The second woman was de- scribed as a Black female, also

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspects involved in this case.

A 30-year-old man was sen- tenced to several years in fed- eral prison last week in connection with sexual offenses involving a child. He pleaded guilty to the crimes on February 16, 2016.
U. S. District Judge James D. Whittemore sentenced Donald Daniel Robinson to 50 years in federal prison in connection with the charges of producing, possessing, and dis- tributing child pornography.
According to court docu- ments, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) began an investigation after re- ceiving numerous tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning an Internet user at Robinson’s residence. Several files contain- ing child pornography had been distributed through various so- cial networking websites.
On July 8, 2015, agents from FDLE and U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investiga- tions executed a search warrant at Robinson’s home, and found numerous images of child pornography, including images of local children.

dence obtained from Robin- son’s phone, Robinson had posed as a female online to co- erce children to produce and send the explicit images to him. The images included minors en- gaged in sexually explicit con- duct. Additionally, two victims told agents that Robinson had persuaded them to perform sex acts on him.
This case was investigated by U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Secu- rity Investigations and the Florida Department of Law En- forcement. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attor- ney Amanda C. Kaiser.

Police Investigate Death Of Inmate
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that Sierra Jo Isom, 27, was ar- rested on July 3, 2016 for theft from persons 65 or older, ut- tering a forged instrument, and violation of probation on a grand theft charge.
While incarcerated at the Orient Road Jail, Isom re- ceived ongoing medical care for pre-existing medical condi- tions.
On July 7th Isom was found unresponsive in her cell at 10:02 p.m. Emergency medical care was rendered by medical staff at the jail and EMS was contacted.

Isom was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:03 p. m.
