Tampa Man Charged With DUI Manslaughter

Wheelchair Bound Woman Killed In Accident
     A 48-year-old Tampa man has been arrested in connec- tion with a traffic fatality. The accident remains under in- vestigation.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the acci- dent took place shortly before 3 a. m., Thursday Nov. 11th) at the intersection of Highland Oak Drive and Parkway Green Lane.
James White was re- portedly driving an SUV along Highland Oak Drive in the Hunter’s Green Subdivi- sion. He reportedly failed to safely negotiate a slight curve in the road. His vehicle en- tered the bicycle lane and struck a pedestrian walking in the lane. The impact threw the pedestrian to the side of the road, where the victim
To Scam Artists
Police are investigating a traffic accident that has left a homeless woman dead. The accident took place Sunday night around 11 p.m.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the woman was struck by a vehi-
cle after she violated the right of way. The driver remained on the scene.
Police said she was home- less, but have not identified her or released any addi- tional information. The in- vestigation is continuing.

White was taken into custody and charged with DUI Manslaughter.
Police are investigating a scam that cost a local grand- mother more than $700,000. The scam took place over sev- eral weeks beginning in April and ending in August.
The unidentified 82-year- old grandmother received a call stating that her grand- daughter was having legal problems. The woman made several withdraws from her bank and gave the money to a courier through rides set up with Uber on 13 different oc- casions.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department is con- ducting the investigation.
Man Struck By Hit And Run Driver Remains Critical
Police are currently inves- tigating a traffic accident that has left a man in critical con- dition. The driver fled the scene after the crash.
According to the Tampa Police Department, an unidentified man and an unidentified woman were walking to their vehicle parked on N. Armenia Avenue shortly before 3 a.m., Sunday. Both were struck by a vehicle trav- eling southbound on N. Arme- nia Avenue.
Witnesses told police the driver never stopped after the collision. Both were trans- ported to a local hospital, where the woman was treated for minor injuries. The man was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
The suspect vehicle is de- scried as a silver or gray older model midsized SUV. Police said it will have damage to the front end, the headlights, and wiper blades.

The Tampa Police Depart- ment has launched a death in- vestigation after body parts were found in McKay Bay.
Last Thursday, shortly be- fore 4:30 p.m., fishermen fishing in the area of McKay Bay observed what they be- lieved to be a human body part floating in the water and contacted Tampa Police. In- vestigators confirmed the body part is of human origin and launched the death inves- tigation.
On Friday, around noon, another body part was discov- ered near the Licata Bridge at N. 22nd Street in the water.
The victim has not been identified, but police are ask- ing the public to help with tips. The victim has a tat- too located just beneath the lower right calf.
Police have located the 2008 Silver Hyundai Elantra with Pennsylvania license plate HDE6564. While no one involved has been identified, investigators believe the car, maybe involved in the case in- volving the body parts located in McKay Bay.
