2 More Inmates Found Dead In Mississippi Prisons, Total Inmate Deaths Rise To 12
U. S. Embassy In Baghdad Hit By Rocket Fire
The United States Em- bassy in Baghdad was hit by rocket fire with at least one striking a dining facility, causing minor building dam- age and injuring one person on Sunday, the New York Times reports.
The attack prompted swift reprimand from the Iraqi government, who said that Iraqi forces had been tasked to “search and investigate to prevent such attacks” while also arresting those behind the rocket fire.
“We denounce the contin- uation of these outlawed ac- tions that have the goal of weakening the Iraqi state and violating its sovereignty and the sanctity of diplomatic missions on its soil,” Iraqi
Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said in a statement.
No one has claimed re- sponsibility for the attack as of yet.
The attack comes after ris- ing tensions between the United States and Iran, par- ticularly after a separate rocket attack at a joint Iraqi- American base in Kirkuk left an Iraqi-American contractor dead, as well as the siege on the embassy which occurred in response to U.S. air raids that killed two dozen militia fighters on Sunday.
The ensuing retaliation led to escalating tensions be- tween Iran and the United States, which sparked fears of war.

A conservative group said it is stepping up its advocacy for removing President Donald Trump from office with a new mobile billboard campaign.
Republicans for the Rule of Law has announced a truck emblazoned with the image of Vice President Mike Pence and the mes- sages “Remove Trump For Pence” and “Pence, It Could Be Worse” will be driven around Washington, D. C., for eight hours on Tuesday. The vehicle’s tour starts at 10 a.m. near the Capitol, where Trump is on trial in the Senate for his Ukraine misconduct.
“Removing President Trump from office wouldn’t undo the 2016 election. The same voters and electors who

chose President Trump also chose Vice President Pence,” the anti-Trump group’s spokesperson Tim Miller said Tuesday in a statement to HuffPost, along- side a mocked-up image of the truck.
”That’s why we’re remind- ing Republicans that they should not fear a fair trial, be- cause even if Trump is re- moved that still leaves them with President Pence which is... not bad, I guess?” Miller added.
