Celebrates 82nd Birthday
EDWARD E. JENNINGS April 6th
Congratulations to Tampa's own, Edward E. Jennings, who celebrated his 82nd Birthday last Satur- day, April 6th!
A former Longshoreman and prominent businessman, Jennings has been a staple in the Tampa Bay community for over 50 years.
His 'big day' was cele- brated with a gathering at his home in West Tampa, which included: his wife, Frances Cheeks Jennings; daugh- ter, Edwenia Prayon; and son, Walter Jen- nings. A host of other family members and friends stopped by to share love and give greetings!

The Tampa Chapter of The Links, Inc., hosted its 4th annual golf tournament fundraiser at historic Rogers Park in early March. Over 100 golfers competed for the top prize.
The tournament proceeds fund the chapter’s program- ming.
The chapter members mentor monthly the entire 5th grade class of boys and girls at Sheehy Elementary School, Delia Gadson- Yarbrough, principal, and 30 8th grade girls at Carter
G. Woodson Middle School, Ovette Wilson, principal. The students are also taken on several field trips throughout the school year, and provided school sup- plies.
The chapter has also part- nered with Miracles Out- reach to mentor girls and young women who are the victims of human trafficking.
The Links also donated over 100 Mama Kits to a vil- lage in Haiti and are hosting its 3rd organ donor drive.
