Teenager In Serious Condition After Shooting
Man Wanted For Theft Of $20,000 Bracelet

Detectives are searching for a man who took a $20,000 bracelet from a jewelry store and fled. The suspect fled the scene in a newer model Nissan Altima.
According to detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect is a Black man, approximately 30-years-old, weighing be- tween 225 and 250 pounds. He is between 6’2” and 6’5” tall and has a gap between his front teeth. He has a dark brown complexion and long dreadlocks. He was also wear- ing thick eyeglasses.
The man reportedly en- tered the Queen of Palms, 7202 E. Hillsborough Avenue, shortly after noon.
As an employee went to show him a necklace, the man ran from the store with the bracelet. He was observed get- ting into the passenger side of the vehicle and two other men were in the car.

Man Charged With
A 17-year-old teenager was seriously injured Friday evening. He was injured in a drive-by shooting.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the shooting took place around 5:30 p.m., at the intersection of N. 20th Street and E. Fair- banks.
The teenager has been identified as Quinton J. Flowers. Flowers told po- lice he was riding his bicycle when someone in a vehicle, possibly an Acura, fired shots at him.
Flowers was hit several times by the gunfire and his injuries are considered very serious. However, detectives believe he will recover.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with neglect of an elderly or dis- abled person. The victim was his 58-year-old mother.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was admitted to Florida Hospital on Septem- ber 17th. At the time, she only weighed 50 pounds, was mal- nourished, dehydrated, and covered with bedsores.
Throughout the investiga- tion, detectives learned that between September 2016 and September 2018, the victim’s son, James Paul Collins, failed to seek proper medical care for his mother.
After she was admitted to

the hospital and cared for, she was then released to a long-term health care facility on October 19th. At the time, her weight was 91.52 pounds.
Collins was taken into custody at his residence with- out incident.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigat- ing the murder of a Tampa woman. The murder took place at 7620 S. 78th Street, last Friday.
The 32-year-old victim has been identified as Ms. Katrina Lynn Burlingame.
No additional information was available at press time.
Detectives are searching for a 39-year-old man in con- nection with a shooting. The incident took place at 5807 N. 43rd Street, last Friday.
According to police, deputies were dispatched to the address in reference to a shooting. They learned that the victim received non-life threatening injuries as a re- sult of a gunshot.
The investigation revealed that Emery Godwin had fired several shots at his girl- friend while outside the ad- dress. He then pursued the victim as she ran into the house. Once inside, he fired an additional round, striking her in the right arm.
After the shoot- ing, God- win fled the scene. A warrant has been is- sued for his arrest for aggravated battery, ag- gravated assault, shooting into a dwelling, and being a felon in

Teenager Arrested In Attack Of Another Student

A 14-year-old high school student was arrested last week for beating another stu- dent. The incident took place in the bathroom at Armwood High School last Thursday.
According to police, the fight started around 12:55 p.m. As the fight continued, other students watched, and one student filmed the fight and posted it on social media.
Police arrested Denicia Tanay Brisbon and charged her with battery and false imprisonment. She told police that she was upset be- cause the victim’s cousins were following her around campus.
Without provocation, Brisbon allegedly kicked, punched, and dragged the other girl around the bath-
room floor by her hair. School officials heard the victim screaming and broke
up the fight.
Brisbon has been sus-
pended from school, pending a change of placement. The person who recorded the fight is also facing discipli- nary action, police stated.

said, “I will continue to have zero tolerance for school vio- lence and will put a stop to students that seek attention by preying on fellow class- mates.
“Parents deserve to know that their children are safe and our youth should not be afraid of going to school each day to further their educa- tion.”
