Body Of Missing Toddler Found In Lake

The body of a two-year- old toddler reported missing was found in a lake. The tragedy took place last Fri- day.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Lori Thermidor was reported
missing shortly after 3:30 p.m. She was last seen in the area of Redwood Point Drive and Stallion Fields Way (in the K-Bar Ranch area).
Police believe she may have walked across the street near a wooded area. Her fa- ther began searching for her and notified police.
Police, along with dozens of volunteers and neighbors searched the area for the missing child. Police also em- ployed Air Service and 2 bloodhounds.
Divers searched the lake near Redwood Point Drive and Stallion Fields Way, and discovered the child’s body.
Detectives have deter- mined the death was a tragic accident and that the investi- gation has not uncovered any criminal intent.
Judge Addresses Concerns About Court Issues

The Coronavirus Pandemic has literally changed the world as we knew it. The virus re- sulted in officials closing down businesses and governments as well as creating Executive Orders to keep people at home to stop the spread of the dis- ease.
Recently, some states began to lessen the restrictions invoked by allowing some businesses to operate in lim- ited capacities. And while the focus is on restaurants and medical facilities, the Hillsbor- ough County government has not re-opened.
Hillsborough County Judge Michael Scionti re- cently shared information to address the concerns citizens may have. He shared the fol-

lowing information. Restraining orders can be
obtained 7 days a week. The of- fice is open with limited hours. Traffic tickets can be han- dled online or through the Hillsborough County Clerk of Circuit Courts by calling (813)
276-8100.
If someone gets a jury sum- mons, he said there is no need to report. Most jury trials have been canceled until further no- tice.
Information about pending cases can most likely be ob- tained through the use of an attorney.
Bond hearings are still con- sidered essential and are being held daily.
Emergency hearings are still taking place as well as child custody issues.
Evictions have been placed on hold until further notice. However, landlords might still threaten evictions.
In some cases virtual court hearings are continuing in cases of dissolution of mar- riage and child custody cases.
Veteran’s Court is being conducted weekly to ensure that veterans who get into cri- sis can get the help he or she needs. If a veteran is in a crisis, the Court will attempt to get counseling by working with community partners.
“The Supreme Court has suspended the speedy trial rule until further notice and many cases are in holding patterns,” he said.
He further stated that no court dates are being set now, and residents will be notified as other changes take place.
