Leonard Fournette Re-Signs With Buccaneers
Richard Sherman Open To Seahawks Reunion
RICHARD SHERMAN
Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks will for- ever be identified together, but it sounds entirely possible that the cornerback could play there again before his career ends.
According to Tom Pelis- sero of NFL Network, Sher- man is “open” to returning to Seattle, and the interest may be mutual. However, the two sides would have to sort out finances, which would be the biggest sticking point.
Ravens Signing WR Sammy Watkins To One-Year, $6M Deal
SAMMY WATKINS Lamar Jackson has a
new target in Baltimore.
The Ravens are signing free-agent wide receiver Sammy Watkins to a one- year deal worth $6 million. Watkins' deal includes $5
million fully guaranteed.
The signing of Watkins marks the first significant up- grade of Jackson's weapons this offseason. The Ravens ranked last in the league in passing yards per game (171.2) in 2020 and Jackson has yet to have a prominent wideout to throw to since his inception into the league. A prominent receiving threat has been a glaring need for Baltimore since Jackson took over at quarterback, seeing as how the last time a Ravens wideout has eclipsed 1,000 yards was when Mike Wallace did it in 2016.
Russell Wilson Reportedly Urging Seahawks
To Sign Antonio Brown
RUSSELL WILSON AND ANTONIO BROWN
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers have shown this off- season that they are committed to keeping their championship core together, and Leonard Fournette is the latest beneficiary of that.
Fournette told re- porters on Friday that he is re-signing with the Bucs. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the con- tract is a one-year deal worth up to $4 million.
Fournette is just the lat- est in a string of veteran players the Buccaneers have re-signed. They also placed the franchise tag on star wide receiver Chris Godwin and agreed to new deals with linebacker LaVonte David, pass-rusher Shaq Barrett and tight end Rob Gronkowski, to name a few.
LEONARD FOURNETTE
There were at least a few other contending teams in- terested in signing Four- nette, but you can understand why he wanted to return to Tampa Bay. He wasn’t all that productive during the regular season but played a massive role in the playoffs, when he had nearly 450 yards from scrim- mage and scored four touch- downs in four games.
Russell Wilson appears to be suggesting another addi- tion the Seattle Seahawks could make in order to make him happier.
710 ESPN Seattle’s John Clayton recently told 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh that Wilson is pushing Seahawks management to sign free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown, who spent 2020 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This isn’t new on Wil- son’s part. He was appar- ently pushing for Seattle to do the same last offseason, but
they opted against it as Brown’s off-field troubles mounted. It ended up being Tom Brady’s influence that led Brown to the Bucca- neers, where he caught four touchdowns in the regular season and two more in the playoffs.
Of course, Wilson’s re- quest now comes with the backdrop of his dissatisfac- tion with the organization. The team has made moves that should make him happy, but it’s entirely possible he wants to see more.
Jadeveon Clowney Visited Browns As Free Agent
The Cleveland Browns are looking at another big-name upgrade to their defensive line.
Jadeveon Clowney vis- ited the Browns’ facility last Wednesday. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport suggested that the visit was of a more exploratory nature as the two sides get a feel for each other, and nothing appears immi- nent.
The Browns’ interest in Clowney is not new. In fact, it was reported that they were among his most ardent

admirers, but he turned them down at the time and ulti- mately landed with the Ten- nessee Titans.
Houston Texans quarter- back Deshaun Watson has been having a rough few weeks.
It all started with one massage therapist coming forward and accusing him of being inappropriate. Then came another. And another.
On Friday evening, the at- torney representing the ac- cusers, Tony Buzbee, announced that 20 cases had already been filed against Watson.
Between the sheer quan- tity of the women Buzbee is representing, the troubling text messages that have leaked out, and the graphic detail with which Watson’s most damning accuser has spoken – a deeply disturbing picture of what transpired has emerged.
The one issue with it all, however, is a recent state- ment by the Houston Police Department.
A Strange, Contradictory
Turn; No Evidence Turned In
  DESHAUN WATSON
“The Houston Police De- partment said on Thursday it has not received any docu- mentation of evidence from attorney Tony Buzbee,” re- ported ABC 13 in Houston. “Buzbee announced on Sun- day night that his team would be ‘submitting affidavits and evidence from several women’ on Monday, March 22.
The police department told Eyewitness News on Thursday that so far, nothing has been received.”
