Students Participate In Trade Show And Job Fair
More than 700 high school students in Hillsborough County Public Schools participated in the inaugural Build Tampa Bay tradeshow and job fair at Amalie Arena on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
The students met with more than 50 local employers in the building and construction indus- try. They heard about careers and immediate job opportunities in fields such as architecture, engineering, plumbing, masonry, machine operations, manufacturing, and general construc- tion.
Supt. Eakins and School Board members were in attendance for the kickoff event.
The event was sponsored by Associated Builders and Contractors Florida Gulf Coast Chapter,
Hillsborough County Public Schools, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Amalie Arena.
