Greg Days Hosts Super Bowl Party

TOBA’s Award Recipients
Among the awards that the Tampa Organization of Black Affairs (TOBA) presented during its 40th Annual Breakfast were the Unsung Hero Award and the Ike Tribble Award. Both recipients tell the Sentinel that they were surprised when their names were called for the awards.
UNSUNG HERO AWARD RECIPIENT – Ms. Mar- cia Hall, right, was the recipient of the Unsung Hero Award. She was recognized for her work with the homeless population. She said, “I’m usually a person of many words, but at that time I could not say a word,” she said of the announcement.
Ms. Hall is founder and CEO of Mrbubblez show- ers.
The award to Ms. Hall was presented by: Dr. Larry Shannon, TOBA Board Member, and Clara Hill, TOBA Leadership Breakfast Committee Member.
IKE TRIBBLE AWARD RECIPIENT – The Ike Tribble Award was presented to C. Fred- erick (Fred) Hearns, 2nd from right. He is shown with the Knowles family: William (Bill), Shirley and Kari, who covers media relations for TOBA.
