   MRS. CORNEICA QUANSHAY SMIKLE
Mrs. Corneica QuanShay Smikle of Tampa, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Funeral Services will be con- ducted on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 12 p. m. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Tampa, FL, with Bessie Moehead, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
Mrs. Smikle was a native of Hillsborough County and a resi- dent of Tampa for 25 years. She attended Hillsborough County Public Schools and was a mem- ber of Hood Temple AME Zion Church. She was employed as a Manager at Chipotle Mexican Grill.
She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Beulah Lewis, Harold Gamble, Sr., Carrie and Leon Stephens; aunties, Ruth Gamble, Pamela Stephens, Denise Gamble and Eboni Carr; uncles, Calvin Stephens and Der- rick Stephens and brother, Lance Henry James, Jr. (Staiin).

MR. EUGENE A. THOMAS, SR.
Mr. Eugene A. Thomas, Sr. passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. A Celebration of Life for Eugene will be held on Fri- day, July 2, 2021, at 10 a. m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 509 E. Twiggs Street, Tampa, FL 33602, with Reverend Victor Thomas, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park. Masks are required.
Eugene was born on Febru- ary 27, 1936, to the late Charles Ince and Hilda Lewis Thomas. As a resident of Tampa for over 80 years, he graduated from Middleton High School and was a lifelong member of St. James Episcopal Church (House of Prayer). Eugene retired from ACE Hardware after 25 years.
He was married to Zanie Lou Thomas for 44 years.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie Ince, Regi- nald and Hilda Thomas. His wife, Zanie Thomas; brothers, Victor, James, Timothy and Al- bert Thomas; sisters, Lillie Thomas-McCall, Josephine Thomas-Pottinger, Marie Thomas-Parham; nephew, James R. T. Thomas; nieces, Va- lerie Waiters, Helen Thomas- Starling, Denise Parham and Eddie Mae Ford.
He is survived by: two sib- lings, Louise Thomas-Waiters (Frank, deceased), Tony Wash- ington, Sr.; sister-in-law, Mittie Sweat; and special friends, Idelia Philips, and Frank Mer- cer.
He leaves behind to cherish precious memories: his chil- dren, w sons, John L. Thomas (Catherine), Eugene A. Thomas, Jr. (Neva); 4 daughters, Darlene Wright (Willie), Rhonda Carter (Michael), Cathy Davis (Samuel), Linda McCarter (David); 15 grandchildren, Olympia, Tina, Stephanie, Mon- ica, Z’mariah Ariel, Simone, Willie, Michelle, Michael, Shan- dra, Isaac, Alonzo, Craig, Lau- ren; 30 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MR. EARL F. BELL
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Earl F. Earl F. Bell was born on March 20, 1948. He was the 10th of 11 children born to Ulysses and Minnie Bell, who both pre- ceded him in death.
He was born in Yulee, Florida, and moved to Tampa, Florida, at a young age. He grad- uated from Middleton High School and worked for many years at Bern’s Steak House. His passions were cooking and fish- ing.
He was preceded in death by: his son, Earl (Poosie) Bell, Jr.; sister, Bertha Parker; brothers, James, Joe, J.B. and Ulysses Bell.
Earl leaves to cherish memo- ries of him with his daughters, Latricia and Melissa Bell; grand- children, Lakeisha Bell, Erik Bell, Tianna Griffin, Nekia Williams, Sherwan Williams, Jasmine Bell and Tierra Bell; one great grandchild; sisters, Essie Emanuel, Evelyn Walker, and Laura Hurtado; brothers, Roosevelt (Darlene) and Malachi Bell, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

SISTER BETTY JEAN CANTY

Evan Burrows, Officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33610.
Sister Betty Jean Canty was born on September 7, 1936, in Waycross, Georgia. She was the tenth and last child born to the late Willie and Allie Brown.
As a young child, Betty moved to Tampa, Florida, where she re- ceived her education in the Hills- borough County Public School System. She graduated from Mid- dleton High School, Class of 1954.
Betty will be remembered as staunch Christian Mother. She found great importance in making certain that her children learned everything that she could teach them about the Lord. Betty greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends.
Betty earned her early Chris- tian experience at St. Luke A.M.E. Church, here in Tampa. She joined the First Baptist Church of College Hill Church family in 2007.
Betty was preceded in death by: her youngest son, Randy Canty.
On Saturday, June 19, 2021, Sister Betty Jean Canty transi- tioned from this life here on earth to her Heavenly Home.
She leaves to cherish memo- ries of her with: two loving sons, Lenzo Canty (Sharon) and Julian Canty (Julia); two devoted daugh- ters, Alicia Edwards and Linda Canty; the father of her five chil- dren, Clifford Canty, Jr; 10 grand- children, Lenzo Canty, Jr., Octavia Canty (Cheryl), Tamika Mutcher- son (Jordan), Jovanna Canty, Jol- isha Canty, Dhiaa’ Edwards (Leslie), Nadira Nelson, Andrew Canty, Rasool Edwards and Rorik Williams (Vianca); a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; god daughters, Gwen- dalyn Britton, and Nakeeria Gaines; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
