AIKENS
MRS. TRECEDA A. COBBS-CHRISTY
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Treceda A. Cobbs-Christy of Tampa, who passed away on Sun- day, January 30, 2022, will be held on Friday, February 4th, 2:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor Kaleb Bur- num, officiating. The interment will follow in Orange Hill Ceme- tery.
Treceda was born on Novem- ber 30, 1971, the first child to Lloyd E. Cobbs and Ella Strong Cobbs in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was a 1991 graduate of Northeast High School in Macon, Georgia, and Hillsborough Com- munity College in Tampa, Florida.
She was married to Paul Christy, II. To this union three children were born; son, Paul A. Christy, III; and twin daughters, Chloe and Aria Christy. Out of her accolades, Treceda’s most cherished award was the title of mother. Her motto: “The love of a family makes life beautiful.” She measured her success by the joy she had in raising her chil- dren.
On January 30, 2022, her work on earth was completed and she was granted rest from labor by our Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by: her son, Paul A. Christy III.
Treceda leaves to cherish pre- cious memories with: twin daughters, Chloe and Aria Christy; devoted parents, Lloyd E. and Ella S. Cobbs; brother, Mario Green (Dora); godsister, Jakaisha Judge; godsons, Ken- ton, Kace, and Sincere; uncles, James Strong (Jean), Harry Strong (Nora) and Calvin Cobbs (Shirley); aunts, Lillie Strong, Ollie R. Strong (Shawn), Willie Mae Slay and Betty Gipson (God- frey); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thurs- day, February 3rd, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday for the service. We are following CDC guidelines.

MS. MENESHA MARIER DEAN-PHILLIPS
A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Menesha Marier Dean- Phillips of Tampa, who passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, will be held on Saturday, February 5th, 11:00 a.m., at Without Walls Church, 4414 N. Grady Ave. Tampa, FL 33614, Rev. Anthony Brown, officiat- ing. The interment will follow in Serenity Meadows Memorial Park Cemetery.
Menesha Marier Dean- Phillips “Nece,” the eldest daughter and second of nine children born to the late Samuel Dean and Ida Louise Newbold Dean on November 12, 1952, in Bronx, New York. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She believed, de- clared, and reminded everyone that she was a child of THE MOST HIGH GOD!
Menesha worked as an exec- utive secretary on Park Avenue in New York City at The Wyatt Company, an actuarial and con- sultant firm. After retirement, she relocated to Florida and purchased her first home in Brandon.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Samuel Dean; mother, Ida Dean; and brother, Jeffrey Dean.
Menesha is survived by; her aunt, Marion Newbold-Daley; uncles, Henry Newbold, Jr., (Uncle Sonny); and Buddy New- bold; former husband, Austin Phillips; brothers, Alexander Dean and Samuel Dean of Brooklyn, NY, and Peter Dean of Cortlandt Manor, NY; sisters, Drusilla Dean-Wilson of Ocala, FL, Beverly Dean-Peters of Newport Richey, FL, Lena Dean-Jeune of Dallas, GA, and Pearl Dean-Wilson of Freeport, NY; brothers-in-law, Guy Jeune, and Victor Wilson; sis- ters-in-law, Jaime Dean, An- nette Dean, and Millie Dean; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand- nephews, great grandnieces, a great grandnephew, cousins, and friends.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. The repast will immediately follow the interment. We are following CDC guidelines.

MRS. ANNIE DORIS FIPPS
A Homegoing Service for Mrs. Annie Doris Shoemake- Fipps, “Nana,” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on January 24, 2022, will be held on Saturday, February 5th , 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Carmel AME Church, 4209 N. 34th St., Tampa, Florida, Rev. Bryant A. Fayson, Sr., officiating. The in- terment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Annie was born June 23, 1952. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, sewing, cooking, and being the boss of everyone.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Eddie and Juanita G. Shoemake.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Willette Streets (Joseph), Ambra Black, and Felecia Museau (Joseph); grandchildren, Alyssa Streets, Joseph Museau, Jr., Asia Streets, Julie Museau, and Lucas Museau; brother, Eddie Shoe- make, Jr., (Ruby Mingo); sister, Mary Shorter (Wilbert); niece, Tamika Shoemake; nephews, Eddie Shoemake, III, (Quis- honda), and Adrian Shoemake (Tawyna); a host of cousins, the Black, Upshaw, Shorter, and Reach Up families.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 4th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday for the service. The family invites all of her friends to meet at Greater Mount Carmel AME Church immedi- ately after the interment.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Denise Jacqueline Franks of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 5th, at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Pastor Andrew Commodore, of- ficiating.
Denise, nicknamed Flossie, was born August 2, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York, to Willa Mai Franks and Zeno Franks, Jr. She loved to shop and spending time with her grandchildren. Denise received her education in the Brooklyn School System.
Denise was preceded in death by: her father, Zeno Franks, Jr.; grandfathers, John B. Smith and Zeno Franks, Sr.; grandmothers, Thelma Smith and Louise Franks and friend, Shermon Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, William Smith; daughter, Yashica M. Franks-Shuler; grandchildren, Delion A. Zeigler, Zenoya JM. Zeigler, Shermar J. Zeigler and Tammye Zeigler; great grand- children, Jaliyah D. T’Cendrick was born on January 29, 1992, in Tampa, Florida, to Alisa Moore and Gregory Spain. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, skateboard- ing, and taking trips to the beach.
He was preceded in death by: his grandfather, Calvin Spain; great grandparents, Mary Moore, James Moore, Sara Scott and Levy Scott; eld- est brother, Davarius Moore; and uncle, Kurk Moore.
