     HEIDI QUINN ... Found guilty
A 51-year-old woman was sentenced to 2 years house arrest, followed by 2 years of probation. She was found guilty last month of 2 counts of tampering with physical evidence. She had already served 21 of the 30 days she was ordered to serve in jail.
In her second trial, Ms. Heidi Quinn was convicted of moving evidence in the
JAYQUON JOHNSON ... killed January 1, 2017
death investigation of 17- year-old Jayquon John- son.
After the shooting, police said Ms. Quinn buried both guns in dirt at the Valrico home, and then dug them back up before police arrived.
Ms. Quinn’s first trial was declared a mistrial be- cause the jury couldn’t agree on a verdict.
Johnson died on Janu- ary 1, 2017, as a result of a gunshot wound. Cody Quinn, who was 17 at the time, admitted to shooting Johnson, but claimed self- defense. The Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Of- fice did not charge him with the death.
Instead, he was charged with trafficking in oxycodone, possession of cannabis with the intent to sell, being a minor in possession of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Since his son’s death, Johnny Johnson and his family have called for ac- countability in the case.
