Trump Is Really Upset That A Black Man Won The Florida Primary For Governor
‘Totally Dishonest’: Trump
Last Tuesday night, Talla- hassee Mayor Andrew Gillum made history as the first African American to win a major party nomination for governor in Florida. To see Black folks winning at any- thing clearly upsets Trump, and he has already ranted on Twitter.
Trump babbled, “Not only did Congressman Ron De- Santis easily win the Republi- can Primary, but his opponent in November is his biggest dream....a failed Socialist Mayor named Andrew Gillum who has allowed crime & many other problems to flourish in his city. This is not what Florida wants or needs!”
This is no shocker that Trump is lying about crime in Tallahassee—it’s currently at its lowest since 2013. However, when Gillum talked about this in May, he didn’t brag, he acknowledged in a state- ment there was more work to
Trusted Over Opponents
President Donald Trump and Mayor Andrew Gillum
Over roughly the past day, President Trump has de- cried the “totally dishonest” media, with its “fake news” and “fake books.” He has ar- gued that Google is biased against conservatives. And he has accused NBC News of “fudging” the tape of an in- terview with him that has been available online for more than a year.
The President has even declared there is no chaos in his White House, which he claimed is a “ ‘smooth run- ning machine’ with changing parts,” despite the tumult that emanates almost daily from within its walls.
Trump’s assertions — all on Twitter, some false, some without clear evidence — come just over nine weeks be- fore the midterm elections
do, saying, “Crime in Tallahas- see is at its lowest level since 2013, and our city continues to get safer every day. We will maintain a focus on investing in our human services, ensur- ing good jobs are available in our community, and providing our police officers with the re- sources they need to fight crime and continue this posi- tive momentum.”
Trump doesn’t know the
meaning of positive momen- tum.
Gillum clearly isn’t stressed about Trump, he coolly responded back on Twit- ter with, “What our state and country needs is decency, hope, and leadership. If you agree, join us at http://An- drewGillum.com. Also, @ me next time, @realDon- aldTrump.”

that could help determine his fate, and they are bound by one unifying theme: All of his perceived opponents are ped- dling false facts and only Trump can be trusted.

  Most Donald Trump Voters Don’t
Believe Using The N-Word Is Racist,
Or Even Offensive, New Poll Indicates
An overwhelming majority of Donald Trump voters don't think that using the n- word makes white people racist and less than half think the slur is offensive, according to a new poll.
A combination of two polls conducted over the past two weeks found that only 18 per- cent of Trump voters believe using the racial epithet makes white people racist and just 42 percent find the term offen- sive. On the other side of the aisle, more than three-quarters of Hillary Clinton voters said that the n-word is offen- sive and racist.
Over 70 percent of Trump supporters indicated that they would still cast their vote for a political candidate even if they had said the n-word. By con- trast, nearly 90 percent of Clinton voters say it would deter them from supporting a candidate if they had used the slur before.
The findings, reported by The Washington Post, were part of two different polls con- ducted by YouGov and The Economist as well as Huff- Post during the week of August 14 to August 21.
The political debate on the n-word has grown increasingly bipartisan over the past few years. In 2006 a CNN/ORC poll showed that 55 percent of
A protester holds up an anti-racism sign as Republican presi- dential nominee Donald Trump speaks during a campaign rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on July 28, 2016. A new poll finds that an overwhelming amount of Trump voters do not think that using the n-word makes white people racist.
Democrats and 49 percent of Republicans viewed the term as offensive. But now that gap has widened to a 32 point mar- gin in 2018, as 75 percent of Democrats and 43 percent of Republicans said the n-word was derogatory.
The findings came as ru- mors swirl that the president has used the n-word before and done so on tape. Omarosa Manigault New- man, a former White House aide whose book released ear- lier this month has set off a firestorm of controversy sur- rounding the Trump Admin- istration, alleged that tapes from the reality show Trump hosted, The Apprentice, prove the president's usage of the racial epithet.
The president has denied those accusations, tweeting: "I don't have that word in my vo- cabulary and never have. She made it up."
Trump later called Mani- gault Newman "that dog" in another social media post, sparking criticism for the in- sulting comment and its racial undertones. Trump has also come under fire for attacking prominent Black celebrity fig- ures, including LeBron James and protesting NFL players.
The poll also came just days after a Republican candidate for governor in Florida, Ron DeSantis, used the phrase "monkey this up" when talking about voting for his Black Democratic opponent.
