The promoter put her on blast saying the event was cancelled or her appear- ance rather because it was “light”, basically meaning no one showed up for Ashanti.

Singer Accuses United Airlines Of Racism
Another day, another com- plaint about racist treatment from United Airlines...
After a Muslim woman said she encountered negative treat- ment back in May, rising singer Kehlani has some complains of her own about the airline. The singer aired out her frus- trations on Twitter accusing the flight attendants of nega- tive, racially-charged treatment she and her dancers received.
According to the tweets (which along with her Twitter account has now been deleted), the flight attendants called them the n-word, then kicked them off the flight after saying she tried to harm one of the at- tendants.
“.....United Airlines you’re racist, you condone disrespect- ful flight attendants and racial slurs,” she tweeted. “They just kicked me and my dancers off for asking to be talked to like a human being... then lied and said I tried to trip a flight at- tendant.”
KEHLANI
United Airlines replied via Twitter to Kehlani’s com- plaints, tweeting, “@kehlanimusic We would like to hear more details so we can look into this further. Please follow & DM us your flight de- tails. ^ML”
The airline company replied to feminist blog Jezebel, who reached out to them for com- ment. They say Kehlani and her crew failed to follow in- structions, and the racial accu- sations are false.

MR. ROBINSON AND THE CARMICHAELS
NBC, which has struggled with comedy this season, is making a major push in the genre in the summer with two new series, Mr. Robinson and The Carmichael Show, set to debut in August.
Mr. Robinson, originally or- dered for this midseason, and The Carmichael Show, just re- cently picked up to series, will debut on Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 9-10 PM.
Mr. Robinson:
As lead singer and key- boardist of the funk band Nasty Delicious, Craig (Craig Robinson, “The Of- fice”) knows a thing or two about working the crowd, but his day job is where he really makes the grade.
Craig finds himself short on cash, he takes a job as a substi- tute high school music teacher.
The school principal (Peri Gilpin, “Frasier”) believes that rules were made to be strictly upheld. She’s none too fond of Craig’s unorthodox teaching style, or his crush on the pretty English teacher (re- curring guest star Meagan Good, “Think Like a Man”).
The Carmichael Show
From the comedy of Jerrod Carmichael and Nick Stoller (“Neighbors”) comes an irreverent sitcom inspired by Jerrod’s relationships with his say-anything, contrarian fa- ther, his therapist-in training girlfriend, his ever-hustling brother, and his mother who is always, always, always right with Jesus.
“The Carmichael Show” also stars David Alan Grier and Loretta Devine as Jerrod’s father and mother.
