President Biden on Tues- day warned that the Omicron variant of the coronavirus is expected to cause break- through infections “potentially in large numbers” and urged Americans to get vaccinated because “it’s the only responsi- ble thing to do.”
“Omicron is serious and po- tentially deadly business for unvaccinated people,” Biden said as he announced an ad- ministration plan to combat a winter surge of coronavirus. “If you’re not fully vaccinated, you have good reason to be con- cerned .... The unvaccinated have a significantly higher risk of ending up in the hospital or even dying.”
Biden’s speech came as fed- eral officials have warned that Omicron is so contagious that it’s expected to cause more breakthrough cases. It has sur- passed the Delta variant as the leading cause of infection faster than expected, with fed- eral officials reporting on Mon- day that nearly three-fourths of new cases last week were caused by Omicron.
Biden encouraged those who are eligible to get a booster shot, adding that fully vaccinated people should not change their holiday plans.

Vice President Kamala Harris vigorously defended President Joe Biden when Charlamagne tha God questioned who was really “running the country.”
The tense exchange went down in the latest episode of Tha God’s Honest Truth with Charlamagne Tha God, in which the titular host criti- cized POTUS for failing to uphold his promises to the American people. Charlam- agne specifically pointed to roadblocks facing the $2 tril- lion social spending package, which some Democratic moderates—like West Vir- ginia Sen. Joe Manchin— have refused to support.
“Who’s the real president of this country?” Charlam- agne asked. “Is it Joe Manchin or Joe Biden?”
“No, no, no, no. It’s Joe Biden,” the vice president responded. “And don’t start talking like a Republican about asking whether or not

brate the holidays with family and friends,” Biden said. “The answer is, ‘Yes, you can,’ if you and those you are celebrating with are vaccinated.”
He also noted that former President Trump recently disclosed that he got a booster shot.
Trump’s followers are among those who have most ardently pushed back on get- ting vaccinated, according to public opinion polls. The for- mer president drew scattered boos when he acknowledged having received another vac- cine dose during a live show on Sunday with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN President Joe Biden is
winding down his first year in office having already made sig- nificant headway on one of his most lasting legacies: judicial confirmations.
Biden has put more people into lifetime federal judgeships than decades of past presidents by this point in their terms. His court picks are also, easily, the most diverse mix of people put onto the federal bench by any U. S. president.
The question that hangs over all of it, though, is how long Biden can keep this up and whether he’s willing to play hardball with Republicans to do it.
Thanks in part to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) making ju- dicial confirmations a top pri- ority, Biden has confirmed 40 lifetime federal judges this year. That breaks down to 11 appeals court judges and 29 district court judges.
For some context, Donald Trump had confirmed a total of 18 appeals and district court judges in his first year in office. Barack Obama had con- firmed 12. George W. Bush had confirmed 28, and Bill Clinton had confirmed 27. George H.W. Bush had con- firmed 15. Reagan tied with Biden, at 40.

Charlamagne was later ridicule on twitter as being arrogant and disrespectful.
