          MS. BARBARA ‘MS. BARBARA’ LUCILLE POTTINGER
A Memorial Service for Ms. Barbara “Ms. Barbara” Lucille Pottinger will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020, from 9 a.m., to 12:00 noon, at Boza & Roel Fu- neral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Av- enue, Tampa, FL 33603.
Ms. Pottinger attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. She was a Christian and a member of Open Arms Church, of Ybor City.
She was born on April 4, 1960 and passed away on August 9, 2020.
Ms. Pottinger was preceded in death by: brother, Vanlist Lee; son, Joshua Washington; niece, Bridgette Parham; mother, Grace Lee; and her friend, Charlette Basin.
She leaves precious memories in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind: 3 sons, Seneca Dukes, Vincent Taylor, and Rashen Price; 6 daughters, Evan- gelina Pottinger, Ann Marie Pot- tinger, Cydney Price, Stephanie Oliva, Paige Pottinger, and Paula Pottinger; 19 grandchildren, Sene- sha Dukes, Jaleah Dukes, Xiaver Dukes, Jacob, Vincent, Jr., Merci Grace, Leliani Lazaro, Armoni, Ariel, Angel, Damarrae, X’zaevier, Sole’, Cherish, Demarius, Yas- mine, Anna-Lisa, and Romiah; 3 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Linda Scott (Eddie Scott), Marylin Lee, and Trina Singleton (Chris Singleton); 3 brothers, Richard Lee, Steve Lee (Reneshia) and Michael Lee (Laurie Lee); and pre- cious and priceless memories in the hearts of a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
MR. DONALD YANCEY RICHARDSON
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Donald Yancey Richardson, 61, of Apollo Beach, FL, who passed away on July 31, 2020, will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020, in Tampa, FL. Interment will be held at the Sarasota Na- tional Cemetery on Monday, Au- gust 17, 2020.
Donald Richardson was born on January 21, 1959, in Reddick, FL. He passed away on July 31, 2020.
He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard and worked for over 30 years in the Food Service Industry as a Commercial Truck Operator.
He was a member of Bible- Based Fellowship Church of Tem- ple Terrace under the leadership of Rev. Earl B. Mason, Sr.
Mr. Richardson is survived by: his mother, Ruby L. Griffin; stepmother, Shirley Jenkins; wife of 38 years, Patricia Richardson; children, Jonita Williams, Donell Randolph, Melissa Boyd, Mar- quell Boyd, Erica Richardson Mc- Daniel and Anthony McDaniel (spouse), Tameka Richardson; sisters, Regina Starker-Griffin, Claudia Richardson, Teresa and Johnny Flowers (spouse), Melissa and Fred Walden (spouse), and Nicole Griffin; brothers, Tony and Olympia Griffin (spouse), Robert and Beth Richardson (spouse); 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-grand- child.

MR. WALTER CLARENCE SLOAN
On Wednesday, July 29th, 2020, the Lord’s will was done in the life of our loved one, Mr. Walter C. Sloan.
Walter was born to the parent- age of Mrs. Jimmie Lee Williams and Mr. Nathaniel Sloan, on No- vember 10, 1950, in Campbellton, FL. He added much joy, laughter and mischief to lives of his older siblings, Willie, Troy and Larthe- nia.
Walter accepted the Lord at an early age at the St. Paul AME Church, where he sung in the choir and ushered.
Walter also was a member of a neighborhood (Central Park Vil- lage) Christian Boys’ Choir, which sung at different local churches. He was a member of the 1968 graduat- ing class of Howard W. Blake, where he played football. After graduating he enlisted in the U. S. Navy in November 1968, and re- ceived an honorable discharge.
He returned home and was em- ployment with the City of Tampa, the Tampa Ship Yard, TECO En- ergy, and Chief Deli Chef for Pub- lix’s (SoHo) District.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Mrs. Jimmie Lee Hooker; his father, Mr. Nathaniel Sloan; brother, Mr. Willie G. Williams; grandparents, aunts, un- cles and cousins.
Those who are left to cherish his memories and legacy are: a lov- ing and devoted wife, Mrs. Bernice Sloan; brother, Mr. Troy (Gwen) Curry; sister, Mrs. Larthenia (Melvin) James, Stafford, VA; chil- dren, Mr. Reginald (Yolanda) Sloan, Mr. Walter Sloan, Jr., St. Pe- tersburg, FL, Ms. Elizabeth (Liz) Sloan, Mr. Kenneth (Ebbony) John- son, Mr. Willie (Adunola) Steen, Riverview, FL, Ms. BiBi Sloan, Gainesville, FL, Mrs. Kesha (Rashard) Mosley, Riverview, FL, Ms. Latonya D. Young, Mr. Leslie W. Young, and Mr. Darryl Salter; aunts, Mrs. Georgia Lockridge and Mrs. Lear V. Wilson, Campbellton FL; uncle, Mr. Hill A. Williams, Bonifay, FL; 17 grandchildren, and 2 great grands; several brothers and sisters-in-law, including Mrs. Bernita Cason; several nieces, nephews, cousins, including special cousin, Mrs. Angilen (Leon) Ad- kins; several friends including Mr. Frank Poitier and family; the Prid- gen family, the TECO Energy fam- ily, and the Publix’s family.
Walter’s last wishes will be honored by his family. There will be no public viewing and there will be no repast. There will be a small pri- vate memorial.

MR. ALFRED HICKS, SR. (‘T-BONE’)
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Al- fred Hicks, Sr., will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 1 p. m. at Allen Temple A. M. E. Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street, Tampa, Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Jr., Pastor, and Minister Jaime Pointer, officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery.
Alfred Hicks, Sr., was born Jan- uary 24, 1951 in Ocala, FL, to the late Samuel and Viola Hicks. He was a long time resident of Tampa, and was Known in the Tampa Bay Area as “T- BONE.”
Alfred “T-BONE” Hicks - Little Man with the BIG Boogie – was called from this earthly life on Tues- day, July 28, 2020. A graduate of Middleton High School Class of 1969, he was a former member of New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, under Rev. Howard.
During his early years, he worked for Channel 13 News, several night clubs, The Shack in Hyde Park and was one of the first DJs for the Psychedelic Shack teen club for the late Charles “Gay Popa” Miles. He also worked for WTMP Radio Station for several years.
He was preceded in death by: his loving wife, Linda Hicks; parents, Samuel Hicks, Sr. and Viola Poole Hicks; brothers, Samuel Hicks, Jr., James Hicks, and sister, Vera Hicks.
He leaves his precious memories to: daughters, Jeanette Mignon Hicks, Felisha Hicks (Monta Parson), Katina Hicks, Lakita Hicks, April Williams (Kenneth, Jr.); sons, Andre Johnson (Antonette), Alfred Hicks, Jr., Patrick Hicks, and Adrian Hicks; grandchildren: Jarvis Robinson, Andre Hicks, Anterica Hicks, Drelin Johnson, Drakeciah Johnson, Dana- jiah Johnson, Quandes Johnson, Andre Johnson, Sha’von Flowers, DeNario Hicks, Tu’Wan Flowers, I’Mari Flowers, Sherrad Hicks, Myr- acle Hicks, Tereion Hicks, Derrick Elston Tyree Perry, Destiny Williams, Altiea Hunter, Kenna Hunter, Ontario Williams, Kenneth Hunter, III, Chanterria Hicks, Adrian Hicks, Jr., Adrionna Hicks, Aviona Hicks, Alzion Hicks; and 27 great-grandchildren; nieces: Sallie Williams (Alvin), Coretta Mayes (Ernnie), Rene Hunt (James), Alex- iadreona Buggs, Michelle Hicks, Shirlean Williams (Quinn); nephews: Cedrick Hicks, Zackery Hicks; a host of other family mem- bers and friends,

Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2020, 6-8 p. m. at In-
tegrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7 Ave., Tampa 33605. In compliance with CDC guidelines social distanc- ing will be in effect and wearing of face mask is required to enter serv- ices.

Ms. Jessie Mae Foster of Tampa passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, August 15, at 2 p. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Reverend Prentiss Davis, of- ficiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery. Please follow the CDC guide- lines. Masks are required.
Ms. Jessie Mae Foster was a native of Perry, Florida and a res- ident of Tampa for over 40 years. “Mama Jessie” was one of a kind. She was a sweet, caring and loving person, who was always there when you needed her. Her love and devotion was shown through her unfailing love towards others. She would feed the hungry, shel- ter the homeless and assist with anything you were in need of. There were no exceptions – she was there – she will truly be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Eugene Foster and Inez Williams Foster; and son, Mark Gillyard.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Kennth Robertson, Sylvester Gill- yard and Shawn Wallace; 33 grandchildren; 26 great-grand- children; two sisters, Sadie Foster Cook and Alma Jan Foster Brooks; three brothers, Terry “T’Bone” Foster, Jerry “Butch” Foster, and Eugene “Bubba” Fos- ter, Jr.; a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Fri- day, August 14, 3-7 p. m., at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are re- quired.
