Dez Bryant Sends
Richard Sherman To Miss At Least Three Weeks With Reported Leg Injury
RICHARD SHERMAN
Richard Sherman appar- ently suffered some sort of in- jury during the San Francisco 49ers’ loss to the Arizona Car- dinals on Sunday, and it is sig- nificant enough that it will keep him out several weeks.
The 49ers announced on Wednesday that Sherman will be placed on injured re- serve and miss at least the next three weeks. While the exact in- jury was not specified, Sher- man is dealing with a calf strain that will require rest and rehab.
Sherman battled a ham- string injury late in the season last year that forced him to miss one game. Aside from some minor ailments, he has stayed fairly healthy since he signed with San Francisco in 2018.
LaMelo Ball Reportedly Was In Boston To Meet With Puma, Not Celtics
LAMELO BALL
LaMelo Ball was in Boston last week, which led to some buzz about whether he was meeting with the Celtics. But it turns out that may not have been the case.
One report from Chris Grenham said Ball was headed to the Celtics’ facility.
Ball signed with Puma, the company announced last month. The 19-year-old is ex- pected to be one of the top picks in the November NBA Draft.
Boston has three picks in the top 30, including one at No. 14. That explains why they might be meeting with a likely lottery pick despite having a successful season.
Derek Jeter Selling Tampa Mansion After Renting It To Tom Brady, $29 Million
Message To Mike Ditka After
Controversial Comments
Former NFL head coach and Hall of Fame tight end Mike Ditka was back in the news this week following his recent comments about play- ers who kneel during the na- tional anthem.
Ditka, 80, has been very outspoken against demon- strations during the national anthem. He doubled down this week with a very blunt message for those who kneel during the national anthem.
Speaking to Newsmax TV on Monday, Ditka made his stance very clear. “If you can’t respect this country, get the hell out of it,” Ditka said on National Report.
“It’s not a complicated thing,” he said. “You play the game, you enjoy the game, if you don’t like the game, get out of it.”
His comments made

waves through the NFL com- munity on Tuesday. Former Dallas Cowboys star wide re- ceiver Dez Bryant issued a response to Ditka, saying someone needs to sit down with the former coach.
“Somebody need to go have a sit down with Mike Ditka...No arguing But ex- plain to him what’s going on...Feeling entitled at its finest,” Bryant said on Twit- ter.

James Sets Record With 16th
Selection To All-NBA Team
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made his- tory Wednesday when he was named to a 16th All-NBA team in his 17-year career, which snapped a tie with Hall of Famers Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most in league history.
James was one of five players -- alongside pre- sumptive NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetok- ounmpo, James Harden, Luka Doncic and James' teammate Anthony Davis - - to be named to the league's All-NBA first team Wednes- day, as all three All-NBA teams were unveiled on ESPN's The Jump.
In addition to snapping the tie with those three leg- ends, James also extended a record he already held by being named to his 13th All- NBA first team. James, who made 11 straight first teams before the first significant in- jury of his career cut short last season -- his first with the Lakers -- and saw him

drop to the third team, showed he still is arguably the best player on the planet at age 35. His dominant sea- son saw him lead the NBA in assists for the first time in his career.
The other 10 players hon- ored Wednesday were: guards Chris Paul and Damian Lillard, forwards Pascal Siakam and Kawhi Leonard, and center Nikola Jokic, who made up the second team; and guards Ben Simmons and Russell Westbrook, forwards Jayson Tatum and Jimmy Butler, and center Rudy Gobert, who were selected to the third team.
