Celebrated Soul Food Restaurant Opens Newest Location In Tampa
Financial Education Series Continues After Last Year’s Success

One of the best soul food restaurants in Central Florida has opened its sec- ond location in Tampa.
Soul Food Fantasy, winner of Best Soul Food Restaurant in Orlando for two years in a row, opened in Tampa two weeks ago. In addition to its Eatonville (Orlando) loca- tion, you can find the new restaurant at 4941 East Busch Blvd., Tampa, FL 33617.
Owner Tina Redding Tomlin is excited by the successful expansion of her restaurant and is looking for- ward to getting to know the residents in Tampa.

The restaurant has many tasty dishes on the menu, in- cluding shrimp and grits, fried fish with Cajun sauce, and its pasta dishes.
Tomlin says, “People re- ally love our pasta dishes. The most requested is our Salmon Fettucine Alfredo.”
The restaurant is open every day except Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“We are a family-friendly restaurant,” Tomlin stressed. She encourages whole families to come in and share the experience. The motto of the operation is “Good Food, Good Feelings.”

On Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 10:00am, the Tampa (FL) Chapter of The Links, In- corporated continues the sec- ond year of the Financial Education Seminar Series.
The series is designed to bring economic freedom and knowledge to African American communities.
Co-Chairs of the National Trends Facet, Mary Dance and Willa Peterson, have ex- panded the work they started in 2021 to include more specific wealth building and retention methods, in a partnership with Thomas Financial.
This seminar is titled “Fi- nancial Savings for Wealth Ac- cumulation: Elements of a Robust Retirement Plan."
Topics for the seminar are personal savings, social secu- rity, benefits of employer spon- sored plan, and fundamentals of retirement planning.
The program is designed to assist people that want to max- imize their work benefits to grow a comfortable nest egg for retirement.
Mary Dance states, “Fi- nancial knowledge is funda-
mental to the growth of eco- nomic power in African Ameri- can communities. We hope that the community will attend and begin their own financial well- ness plan.”
