S corched Earth --- when Donald Trump fi- nally leaves office that's probably what the White
House will look like.
After four years (and
quite possibly 8) of the con- stant turmoil and divisive- ness he creates we'll be lucky if, by then, America isn't engaged in another civil war.... And I don't think that's an overreach.
Following his latest con- troversial comments sug- gesting that 4 Congresswomen of color should "go back to the coun- tries they came from if they don't like it here" (a state- ment that seemed outright ridiculous since three of the women were born in the U. S., while the 4th became a citizen at 17), it's clear that Trump won't rest until he stirs the pot just enough to spark the large scale conflict he appears to crave; an epic battle between races and ideologies that he can sit back and gleefully watch from the safety and security of his Mar-A-Lago estate.
I mean, he has to want violence and bloodshed, right? Why else would he put down his dog whistle and blatantly speak the lan- guage of white nationalists, fully knowing that his rhet- oric has the potential to in-
spire the most radical mem- bers among them to act on his words in a show of loy- alty to their favorite presi- dent?
There was a time when I would make fun of this kind of buffoonery from Trump while mockingly referring to him as the Archie Bunker of politics. But, now I'm be- ginning to realize that the comical description is far too tame.
The truth is that Trump is something far more vile. He isn't a bigot whose pitiful stupidity can be laughed off. He is a hateful racist who has the power to destroy the life of anyone whose genet- ics don't match the ethnicity he prefers. And that, to me, makes him far more danger- ous.
As I write this, I can't help but wonder what's going through the minds of those in the Black commu- nity who supported Trump during his 2016 presidential bid, the ones he conde- scendingly referred to as his "African Americans?" I would love to know how they feel about their orange- haired hero basically telling them to either accept his bull---- or go back to Africa.
It can't sit well that the man, who they believed in, has now turned around and
given them his pasty back- side to kiss. But, unfortu- nately, this is what typically happens when you decide to cuddle up with a snake. You find yourself looking like a fool once you feel it piercing your skin with its fangs.
To me, the most disturb- ing part of this entire story is that, not only have very few Republican politicians come out to condemn Trump's statements but, he maintains a 90% ap- proval rating among Repub- lican voters in spite of his vulgar display of racism.
This means that the indi- viduals who are currently in positions to make laws which affect our lives and many of those who we inter- act with on a daily basis, in- cluding bus drivers, teachers, high school foot- ball coaches, plumbers, ex- terminators, life insurance salesmen, etc..., agree with his stance.
Of course, this silent em- brace of Trump's racial an- imus shouldn't be too surprising. After all, we do live in "Amerikkka."
But it's still disappoint- ing to know that, even with all of this nation's techno- logical advancements and access to an abundance of information capable of ex- panding a person's thinking, some people are gullible and shallow enough to continue supporting this level of ig- norance.

Trump, The Omnipotent
f all the names our President has been called in
the past two years, most probably, “omnipo- tent” has not been one of them. And what does “om- nipotent” mean? Most simply, it means “all-powerful, and is synonymous to the word “omniscient,” which means “all-knowing,” both terms, we suspect, our present commander-in-chief would give his eye-teeth to own.
Consider the long string of goofs and gaffs com- mitted by this current POTUS wherein by patting himself on the shoulder, he did everything, but an- nounce he invented buttered bread.
Recall the time when he stated more people at- tended his inauguration ceremony than had ever been so in history; the time he literally kissed the pinky ring of Russia’s strong man Putin, or the time just recently when he tweeted almost that Britain’s American ambassador should all but kiss his foot after the ambassador had made disparaging remarks about Trump’s leadership capabilities.
Indeed, Trump’s bombast and disregard for the civilized world has been enough to set sitcom writers like Norman Lear back to the Dark Ages if not fur- ther.
Moreover, Donald Trump’s ham-fisted comments continue to make many people think he is indeed, a clown-if not an idiot. But historians know better. They have seen him when his name was Roman Em- peror Nero, Italian leader Mussolini, or “The Little Corporal” Adolf Hitler, and they fear Trump is not a fool, but is a circus con-man gambling on his bed to become America’s first dictator.
Therefore, perhaps, we would do well to take Trump seriously. For, a wolf is knocking at our door.
