 1964
  On January 3, King ap- pears on the cover of Time magazine as its Man of the Year.
On March 26th, Dr. King and Malcolm X are shown at a press conference in Washington, D. C.
During the summer, King experiences his first hurtful rejection by black people when he is stoned by Black Muslims in Harlem.
1963
