Police are searching for four individuals who allegedly at- tacked and robbed a person at International Mall.
  Four Sought For Robbery At Mall
Man Wanted In First Murder Of The Year Surrenders
  The Haines City Police Department is looking for any information regarding a fatal shooting of a 47-year- old man. The murder oc- curred early Saturday morning and became the first homicide in Haines City
Jerome Bouiye, 42, sur- rendered to police. He is being charged with first-de- gree murder, using a firearm to commit a felony offense and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is not cooperating with the in- vestigation.
Police said Bouiye fatally shot Jackson several times near North 12th Street and Avenue I before 12:20 a. m.
Witnesses told detectives Bouiye was angry with Jackson because he be- lieved Jackson was in- volved with a woman Bouiye had been dating.
Jackson did not want to be involved in the argument and began to walk away. Bouiye pulled out a hand- gun and shot Jackson. Bouiye then entered a vehi- cle and fled the scene.
   Man Injured
 The Tampa Police Depart- ment is searching for four in- dividuals linked to a robbery. The incident reportedly took place on January 2, at the In- ternational Mall, 2223 N. Westshore Blvd.
According to police, the suspects followed the victim, while outside of Dillards, when the victim was attacked. He was struck several times
while on the ground. The sus- pects then took the victim’s money and cell phone before fleeing the scene. They report- edly fled the scene in a dark, four-door sedan, police said.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place last Thursday. The shooting oc- curred round 5 p. m., in the 3700 block of Manatee Drive, SE.
According to police, offi- cers responded to a call about a person being injured by gun- fire. When they arrived at the scene, they learned the victim had left the scene in a private vehicle.
A short time later, the vic- tim contacted police from an- other location. The victim, a male, has non-life threatening injuries. The in- vestigation into the shooting is continuing.

ventHealth Heart of Florida around 12:15 a. m. on Saturday after Michael Andre Jackson, 47, was admitted with multiple gun- shot wounds to the body. Hospital staff conducted life- saving procedures, but Jack- son was pronounced dead before 1 a.m.

   Burglar Who Stole Christmas Presents From Home Jailed
And Run Driver Dies
On December 20th, an un- known man entered a Lake- land home. Once inside, he stole presents and other items from the home on the Crystal Lake Avenue. Police have identified the suspect and he was located and taken into custody.
Raheim Jamaar John- son, 28, was located by mem- bers of the U. S. Marshal’s Service in the jurisdiction of Plant City at the Knight’s Inn, 301 S. Frontage Rd, Plant City, and subsequently ar- rested. The U. S. Marshal’s service was working coopera- tively with Polk County Sher- iff’s Office detectives in the search for Johnson.
After he was taken into custody, Johnson made spontaneous statements that he should be taken to the Hillsborough County Jail and that he did not want to go to Polk County. Johnson said that he was upset with Polk County deputies because they kept bothering family mem- bers, friends, and acquain- tances about where he was.
Man Shot In Store
A 64-year-old Apollo Beach resident died on New Year’s Day.
The victim was riding a bicycle, traveling south- bound across U. S. 92, east of Taylor Road when the acci- dent happened around 6:40 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bicyclist entered the path of another
vehicle traveling westbound. As a result, the vehicle col- lided with the bicyclist, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
After the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and remains unidenti- fied. Anyone with informa- tion regarding this incident is asked to contact the FHP by calling (813) 558-1800.

As a result, he said he was about to have to turn himself in because he was out of money and no one would let him stay with them due to his new notoriety because Polk County Sheriff’s Office detec- tives were pressuring people to find him and turn him in. He was upset that he had to rent a motel room because he could not stay with friends or family.
Johnson reportedly re- fused to cooperate with detec- tives. Detectives have been unable to recover the property and gifts that were stolen prior to Christmas.
Police are investigating a shooting that has left a man in critical condition. The shoot- ing took place in the 1400 block of 16th Street, S.
According to the St. Peters- burg Police Department, the incident took place around 9:45 p. m., on December 30th. The unidentified adult male was walking in the rear park- ing lot of the Ana Food Store, 1401 16th Street, S., when another man ap- proached him.
The two men became en- gaged in an altercation and the man shot the victim. The vic- tim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated at the hospital with critical in- juries.
Police have not released any additional information and the investigation is con- tinuing.
Accident Leaves Man Dead, Child Seriously Injured

 A traffic accident near South Crystal Lake Drive and U. S. Highway 98 South has left a man dead, several oth- ers injured, and a six-year- old child being air-lifted to a Tampa hospital. The acci- dent took place at approxi- mately 4:46 p. m., on New Year’s Day.
According to police, just prior to the crash, a Ford Mustang was attempting to turn left onto South Crystal Lake Drive from U. S. High- way 98 South when it crossed into the path of a Hyundai SUV that was trav- eling north on U. S. Highway
98 South. The two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Hyundai, 52-year-old Michael Monroe, died at the scene. The passenger of the Hyundai was transported to Lakeland Regional Health with serious injuries.
The six-year-old child, a passenger in the Ford, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital for treatment. Three other occupants of the Ford were also transported to Lakeland Regional Health with serious injuries. The in- vestigation into the accident is continuing.
