Bouncer, Patron Shot Outside Ybor Gentlemen’s Club
Detectives
  Police are currently searching for a man in con- nection with a double shoot- ing. The incident took place early Sunday.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the shooting took place at Dreams Gentlemen’s Club, 4218 E. 7th Avenue.
Officers responded to a call of shots being fired and when they arrived found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police learned that the victim was Lavon B. Rowells, 33, and he is a bouncer at the club.
During their investiga- tion, detectives learned that Rowells had gone outside the club to attempt to break up a fight between Henry Norton, Jr., 28, and an unidentified man.
and was transported to a local hospital.
Norton suffered a gun- shot wound to the lower left side of his back. He was transported to the emer- gency room by private vehi- cle before police arrived.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the club on foot. He is described as a Black man, about 5’10” tall with short hair, and a thin build.
Police said a silver or gray Dodge Dart was seen in the area near the club after the shooting. However, it has not been determined that the vehicle is related to the shooting.

As Rowells attempted to intervene, the suspect produced a handgun and shot both Rowells and Norton.
Rowells suffered from a gunshot wound to the back
Late Friday afternoon, deputies with the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office responded to the death of a man at 1541 Kingsway Road.
Information pertaining to the crime is sketchy, how- ever, police have identified the victim and ruled the death a murder.
The victim is 34-year-old
Devin Scriven.
The address where he was found was listed as his home address.
No additional informa- tion was available at press time.

Investigate Man’s
    Driver Arrested In Road Rage Fatal Stabbing
   GILBERT SERNA ... died after being stabbed
Tampa Police Depart- ment detectives have ar- rested a man in connection with a fatal road rage stab- bing. The incident took place last Wednesday in North Tampa.
According to police, a dark-colored 2-door, soft top BMW was stopped at a traffic light around 11:22 a.m., Wednesday on Fowler Ave. The BMW was stopped on the passenger side of a pickup truck.
Sources said a confronta- tion between the driver of the BMW and the truck’s passen- ger, 56-year-old Gilbert Serna took place after Serna allegedly spat out of the window and it landed on

the arm of the BMW driver, later identified as 44-year-old Teddy Baltimore Smith.
Smith got out of his car and confronted Serna. As the confrontation continued, Smith allegedly stabbed Serna in the upper body and drove away.
Police located the BMW in a parking lot early Thurs- day and impounded it, but did not arrest Smith at the time.
Smith was arrested around 10 p.m., Thursday and charged with second-de- gree murder.
After the stabbing, the unidentified driver of the pickup truck attempted to follow the BMW. However,

he stopped at the corner of W. 109th Avenue and Ashley Street to get medical atten- tion for Serna.
Police arrived and per- formed CPR on Serna. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
The investigation is con- tinuing.
