750 Families Benefit From Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway
For several years, members of Heaven Destiny Assembly Of God Church, Pastor Tom Jones, has been giving back to the community. This year, the church was able to make Thanksgiving brighter for 750 fami- lies.
Ms. Gail Grace, Outreach Coor- dinator for the church said, “I know that we have been giving back for at least 14 years. This was the first year that we have given away this many boxes. God just keeps blessing us.”
The boxes contained a frozen turkey and all of the things needed to make a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Ms. Grace said last year, the church gave away 300 boxes. This year, they were fortunate in having the Gary Sheffield Foundation and Simply Health serving as major sponsors for the event.
The giveaway was held at Cyrus Greene Park. It began at 12 noon last Saturday and lasted until 3 p.m. Pho- tography by BRUNSON.
Retired Baseball Player Gary Sheffield was on hand for the event.
Members of Tampa 24/7 Gospel on hand at the park were: Jamie T. Lawrence Ross, Legacy Green, Reeshemah McCoy, and Rakelle Sullivan.

Ms. Eboni Cruz and her daughter were among those in attendance at the Thanksgiving giveaway.
