Social Security New Office Location
The Valrico Social Secu- rity office is now closed. The new location is: 2027 Par- sons Avenue, Brandon/Seffner area. This location is across Wheeler Road on the left before the railroad track and Dr. MLK.
Career Cafe
Check out this free event from the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida for all girls in high school or college. Transportation is available (for example, Chamberlain High School can serve as a pickup/drop off for groups at the school).
This event is empower- ing women to be strong, bold, and successful. Started in 2017 as a Girl Scout Gold Award Project, the Career Cafe is a free job hunting skills workshop for all young women in high school or college.
The Career Cafe Menu consists of: Successful Job Hunting, Resume Writing, Interview Do’s & Don’ts, Networking, Personal Branding, Mock Interviews and How to Get Your Dream Job.
Attendance at the Career Cafe will include continental
breakfast and a light lunch, as well as a tote bag with give-aways.

The 38th Annual Storytelling Festival!
Come travel with national/international renowned story- teller/artist Kuniko Yamamoto as she takes you on en- chanting voyages and stories about her native country, Japan.
The culminating festival will be held April 21, 2018, from 10 a. m. - 4 p. m. at Robert W. Saunders, Sr. Public Library, lo- cated at 1505 Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602. The fes- tival is FREE and open to the public.
In addition to this year’s Featured Storyteller (Teller TBA), the festival also presents hundreds of school-aged Festival Quality Storytellers, regional storytellers of all ages, balladeers, puppets, storybook characters, and much, much more!

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60 and older.
